Was great for us the year we made the play-offs but so inconsistent last year playing 1 good followed by 4 or 5 bad......masterstroke from MC to get what he did....and dare I say it....a bit of credit to Agar for getting the best out of him when he did which will have played a part in getting the 90k or whatever it was....

We have replaced him now. Him and Godinet might have been a good partnership to be honest with better ball from McShane too but we have Sammut and Siejka now so no point.

One of the most overrated players to ever wear the Wakey shirt. Played ok one in six games for us (at best) then went missing. Fantastic business to get rid for the Money we got. I would have driven him to Salford myself.

He was never going to work alongside Chase - he looked best for us when partnered with Sykes; a steady, organising SO who could kick in play. Smith has some lovely skills, but he does not guide a team around the park.

Re Marc Sneyd ,I might be wrong but I don't think there's a recall option on the loan deal, it was for the full season as part of letting Rangi go.

I liked Smith, think he got some unfair stick but this thread is the reason I'm happy we cashed in on him.
If we had kept hold of him, it would be Wake fans complaining that we should have sold him when we had the chance.

Mariano coming back to Trinity or Shane Tronc coming out of retirement (if he's out of prison yet) would be better.
