Think there could be a few south sea island bargin buys & the way Fiji & Samoa have played we'd be silly not to be having a look. There's a few few in the second grade that look sharp.

I liked the look of both France and PNGs scrum halves

I liked that massive Samoan forward who's playing for Saints next year. Who hopefully will have an off days against us or not play.

This World Cup is an ideal time to be talking to prospective bargain signings.

I guess a number of French players may be at Trinity next year (fed trained). I wouldn't mind seeing Fages at Trinity given the limted time he may get at Salford now. I seem to recall Fakir was rumoured to be signing for the club but that was before the house of cards fell down.

Saints put in a big offer but he turned
down to stay in the NRL and changed his mind this year. As scary as he is his fitness is not great and if you get people to run at him constantly (bearing in mind he will probably destroy who ever runs at him) to tire him
out and nippy, quick halfbacks will surely find gaps he had made through fatigued.

When Fakir first came on the scene I thought he was going to be a world beater. Something just didn't click with him, but he'd still be a decent signing.

He re-signed for catalans last month.

I understand that we had agreed terms with Fakir for next season, but the RFL put a stop to it until we were out of the latest mess.

Ashame about Fakir yes he does give a few penalties away but he doesnt take a backwards step and is very physical. Had a great game against PNG and when he was on the field France were making a lot more yardage.

I cannot believe the RFL even this lot would put such a restriction on a club by imposing an embargo on signings until we clear what, the shortfall however much that is now is really nothing to do with them, if it is the loan they have this guaranteed because it will probably come out of our Sky money before we get it.

Agent you've nearly been here 3 months and still believe what you read. No disrespect to Bren2k or other posters but I'm not 'in the know' and will wait until official announcements are made and until that all of it is speculation.

I think the word "cannot" is a bit of a clue that I do not believe it but I just expanded on my argument giving reasons why I did not believe it even with the likes of Woods and Rimmer in charge.

We are kidding ourselves if we think that our players are coming from the world cup any good ones will undoubtedly be on the books of other clubs the squads have been known for awhile and the homework must have been done before a kick is taken which I believe other clubs have done ie hull. K R.
getting players is a very competitive market and with our well publicised problems ... and with no budget ..or uncertainty on what that is am afraid ...

just logic not meaning to put a damper on peoples aspirations think that has already been done
