Dear Rugby Lovers
Sorry to hijack the forum but all of us at Tiny House Productions just wanted to tell you about the fantastic night of theatre we’re putting on in Leeds.
For just three nights ( Wednesday 5th September to Friday 7th September) we will be staging the brilliant Up ‘n Under by local legend John Godber.
Up ‘n Under is a true underdog story, a perfect mix of [iRocky[/i and [iPeter Kay’s Phoenix Nights[/i. A love letter to rugby, northern humour and Yorkshire, Up ‘n Under is packed with laugh out loud gags, touching moments and an exciting match of “the gentlemen’s game” played out in front of your very eyes in a way that only Tiny House Productions can.
We are extremely confident you will love this show as it’s perfect for anyone who likes Rugby and northern humour. Lots of local teams and areas are mentioned in the script, and the final game takes place at Castleford. Also, this isn’t artsy fartsy theatre but theatre perfectly pitched for non theatre goers. If going to see a play at the theatre isn’t your idea of a good night out, then this will change your mind.
Up 'n Under is on at The Carriageworks in Leeds. Tickets can be bought through the Carriageworks website or on 0113 224 3801. Tickets are £11 (£9 concs), however if you arrange tickets through us at Tiny House at

| Saw it a year or so back at Wakefield, it had Abi Titmuss and Hunter for the gladiators in it, both were excellent as was the production.
It's absolutely fantastic, and I would recommend it to anyone with a passing interest in RL, even the wife thought it was great.
Wasn't sure what to expect, certainly didn't expect to laugh out loud all evening.
A must see!!!

| I've seen loads of Tiny House productions and they're always quality.
I'll be there on the Friday night with the family - I'd recommend it!

PMSL - I saw that too - didn't realise Hunter was in it - only noticed Titmus TBH.
She was surprisingly good, as was the whole production.

| Like Snowie I saw it performed by the Hull Truck Theatre Company (which I think is John Godbers own company) at the Theatre Royal in Wakefield about 20 years ago.
Thought it was an excellent night out and certainly would reccommend it. I think they also made a film of it with Neil Morrissey and Samantha Janus (now Womack) it.

what made it so astounding is they managed to cram it into such a small stage
it had me it stitches, quality acting

It was excellent. Who'd believe that you could have a game of rugby on such a small stage.

| And with such a small cast, four or five people I think, when we saw it.

It is "Fifita" not "Fafita"
If you don't know the difference between "there", "their" and "they're" I might get annoyed.
Sharing First World problems so you can get it right first time.

| I saw it many years ago at Hull Truck Theatre (at the time the home of John Godber productions). Also seen the film which is great and would love to get a permanent copy of it. It's on my Amazon wishlist so I can track when it comes in at a reasonable price, come to think of it I might just check again
And this has nothing to do with the fact that the film shows Samantha Janus starkers in the shower

Ref and linesman spoilt the game that night, shocking imo.

I'll be watching the real thing in Salford that night!! (unless it gets moved!)
Having said that I may try and book tickets for Weds or Thurs as it is a great show.
