| Thought Bill was out of order. He might start the question with "no disrespect to Wakefield" but he then showed the opposite.
To be fair, I suppose they asked Jackson Hastings pretty much the same question, but it was more or less "why are you still at Wakefield".
On another point, the South Stand was quiet. I know they weren't playing well, but normally the trumpets are an accompaniment. Tonight, it sounded like they were playing in an empty church hall. I've wondered all along whether they were taking away all that was special about the South Stand by making it so big with a high roof.

| This thread started with people moaning about paying £26 tonight I’d have paid double, brilliant performance.

| It gave Tom a great opportunity to say he is already at a big enough club. Thought he came across really well.
Also Trinity Heritage has just pointed out that the last Wakefield player to score a hat trick at Headingley was Neil Fox in 1963......who was there watching.

Bill Arthur knows nothing and although maybe less atmospheric the new stands make it a very impressive stadium.

It does look fantastic, but sometimes less is more, because the atmosphere was what made it special. Maybe money would have been better spent recreating the old south stand in a modern version and developing the away end. Not that I particularly care, I suppose.

| Well, having Leeds at Headingley and United at Elland road on the same night made travelling there and back a whole load of fun but, boy, was it worth it.
Apart from conceding 2 late tries, I thought that Trinity were superb.
Dominated Leeds from the off and although Johnstone will take the plaudits as he cant stop scoring, there were huge performances from plenty of others.
Big Dave up the middle, Tupou had Watkins floundering, Brough with superb organising, Kopczac and King super solid and Hirst with his best game of the season and then throw in Miller and Hampshire plotting and scheming behind the pack.
What a great team performance
Hope Ashurst is ok and it was good to see him walk round the pitch later on.

| Without sounding harsh, they weren't good. But that was because we made them look very ordinary.
Excellent performance from 1-17.
Great defence. The backs delivered tonight, big time. Rocky (great hands!) Torpedo Tupou, TJ, Reece, BJB....
Looked like we would score when the ball went through the hands...
Thought Big Dave was - as usual - outstanding.
Then Horo, Kopy, Keegan & PP coming on continued with the drive forward.
Up the Trin.

| Apart from one error, I thought Hampshire's performance was excellent and his contribution shouldn't go unnoticed. For Johnstone's first try his speed then delayed pass was brilliance, i really can't wait to see teams try to defend him in the summer months.

| I was really pleased with the subtle introduction of PP.
It was clear there were no unrealistic expectations from the coaching team - he filled a gap in defence and carried several defenders on every carry - he made good yards every time.

| One player I really like the look of is King. He will hardly get a mention through the season but he is a big addition to our pack.
No mistakes and shakes people around in both defense and attack.
Dave was well watched today but took a lot of sting out of them.
Brough has completely converted me. I wasn't sure when we signed him but he's our missing link. He could make us something special.
Tom was great as usual. Pity about the kickoff.
I like the Brough to Batch move. That'll get us a lot of tries this year.
Did Wood do 80 mins again? Didn't lose his sparkle at all.
Enjoyable game. Let's keep going.

| The usual suspects get the plaudits and deserve them but George King was immense for me tonight. Great signing.
Great show 1-17

| Very proud of that performance tonight. This was a huge occasion, it goes without saying. Leeds opening in their new stadium and, frankly, getting turned well and truly over. Congratulations to you all who played. Never forget tonight. This will be one of your best games

| Managed to get in from wheldon road and watch the game without knowing the score (kind of) so watched on record. What a show. The score massively flattered Leeds. Bill Tupou could well have finished kallum Watkins. Think it was vastman who made a point of certain Leeds players having huge reputation especially their oversees players but in reality are they actually that good ? Tupou or Hurrell? Fifita or Merrin? Miller or that fat lad they played full back? I know who I'd rather have in my side week in week out.
The brand of rugby you lot play makes it a joy to watch when you're in full flight. Could we argue that the salary cap plays a part? Once upon a time the likes of wakey / Cas would only beat the favoured sides if they had a bad night and wakey / Cas had the rub of the green.

| Great from 1-17.
Special mention to Hampshire who I thought was excellent. Tupou made Watkins look like a school kid, so humble and gets about his business without needing to shout about it.
Thought Ashurst was immense until the injury, anyone got an update on this?
Also remember a crusher tackle on report from Kyle Wood, hopefully nothing in it but don’t need him missing next week.

| Leeds came second in every department last night ,we were simply unstoppable when we got on a role .
Thought Danny broughs face when he scored his try apitamized our team spirit and the togetherness ,you’d have thought he’d scored the winner at Wembley

| Always good to beat that lot at LS6.
A very good team performance from all 17. Even though I think BJB not at his best at the minute, seemed to grow in confidence through the game. Maybe he just needs that try to get him going.
Started a bit a slow, and ended a bit slow, though I think the last 10 minutes became the Chris Kendal show.
Reading comments by the Leeds fans, and having just watched it again, If a referee tells you not to speak to him like that, but continue, its only going to end one way, to bemoan the sin binning near the end, unbelievable Leeds fans. Blue and yellow goggles. If dissent is going to end in a card, why wasnt the Leeds player binned earlier in the second half, thats the question I would ask
Hope Ashurst ok, and Wood escapes a ban.
Could be a couple of forced changes next week, but hope not.
Very happy today.
Happy Saturday everyone

| Great result, England missing through Ilness didn’t disrupt, a dominating pack, Leeds last 2 tries showed our biggest weakness ,, but game was won done and dusted by then,,,
To cap a great night was made even better when Danny B , king smashed that horrible grub ferres about when few Leeds players spat their dummy’s out at end, nothing like bit of biff to show shirt means something,, we have a great run of fixtures now, to exploit and maybe put in foundations of another great season ,,, well done Trinity !!

| This week I thought we could win at Leeds, after we scored our second try I never thought we would lose. Looking back after the game it was a great feeling to be pretty comfortable for most of the game. Anyone else just a little disappointed we didn’t score more points? Very happy there’s a lot more to come from this team
