| In answer to the earlier question, Hull and Hull Kr used to share an Academy for a short period of time. IIRC had an alternative pick system. I think Rovers gained Mikey Lewis from that process, even though he’s a lifelong Hull fan.
The joint Academy split a few years ago. Hull have invested heavily since and have started to see several players come through into the first team last season. Rovers have invested less in their Academy.
As for the ticket allocations, away allocations at Rovers have always been poor. Hull only get the 816 tickets too. Rovers are already complaining about only getting 4,000 tickets for this coming season’s Good Friday Derby. They got 6,000 two seasons ago, but some of their fans threw bottles at the Hull fans, so the allocation was reduced on safety grounds.
Their season ticket sales are impressive, however are primarily driven by their limited capacity. They now have rich owners who could afford to expand NCP with two much needed West and South stands. I think they have held back to maximise their IMG points on crowd utilisation, which is a shame as a 3-4k South Stand for away fans would make a better atmosphere and experience for away fans.
Good luck for your season and I look forward to my annual trip with Hull to BV. Your ground improvements are looking good!

|
Is this the Wakefield forum three pages about HKR because some one as given us some useful information that HKR have said they have not given us a lot of tickets for away game .The facts are, if we are not going well in S L think that will be plenty And if we are ,watch the match on T V at the pub . Think you can see why Wakefield fans are a bit bitter to HKR (will put my self in that party) They came along when we were down and put the boot in big time Think they took 4 or 5 forwards , and then came back to try to get Gale. The same thing is happening to us right now,as we looked to have turned a corner Other fans are asking how come we have got a A ground[/color:2l930kzh] .And if we start doing well in S L it will get worse[/quote:2l930kzh]
Never mind us, what about Cas???
Don't care about other teams' fans tbh, they can think what they want..........

I'd like to know when these other fans have been to our ground to make a judgement, as we were in the championship last year. Not too many SL supporters will have even seen the new stand, as well as the other improvements around the place. Even our own fans haven't seen it with the new Screen and LED sponsorship around the pitch, plus the improvements to the north stand yet.

| It was too long ago that we relied on away supporters to bolster our finances. I do not believe that the RFL have a requirement regarding the percentage of tickets a club must make available to away supporters. If Hull KR can fill their ground with season ticket holders then good luck to them. I guess it would be every club’s dream to have the guarantees season tickets bring especially with all games now on Sky and fixtures subject to change.
With regards fans we all have our share of those out to cause problems. I suppose that because teams like Hull and Hull KR have large away support the problem appears worse. No club can afford to lose the money brought in by away supporters, what do we want the revenue generated by teams like Hull or that produced by Catalan or Huddersfield.

Not long after the split Rovers were denied an Elite Academy Licence due to poor performance but then later given a provisional one with a review planned (2023?). If Lewis was taken from the Joint City of Hull period it doesn't look like Rovers have improved much during the provisional period?
