Should a minutes silence be planned I for one will clap the entire minute in memory of the struggle and those lads who were jailed, lost their homes wives families you know the rest !!!

I honestly think the minutes slence would be embarassing for the club

Not only bacause it'd show totaly ignorance as to the history of the region and probably 80% of it's fans, but also because I can't imagine 8000 northerners respecting it, which would get unhealthy media coverage.

Maybe a minute's conga would be more appropriate

Generally speaking I think Thatcher was one of the better leaders this country has produced. However she is a politician in a democracy and generally those people don't get minutes silence or for that matter state funerals. TBH any abuse she gets for dying disgusting though it is is not helped by the Tories and Westminsters attempts to elevate here to sainthood.

History will decide her eventual place nd until it does a normal funeral and perhaps a memorial would have done just fine and we wouldn't have this bitching. Devicive in life and now in death although the latter is not her fault.
