The Under 20's begin their league programme this coming THURSDAY evening (27th Feb) with a home game against Sheffield Under 20's kick off 8pm (Hall of Fame Bar open from 7pm).

Deam Muirs squad is set to include Sean Kelly , Tom Courtney, Ben Stead , Chris Watson and Ben Blackwell , all who featured in the Cougars 1st Team Pre season friendlies .

Anybody have a link to anything official saying there is no limit to the number of over age players who can play in the under 20s? Seems like best of both worlds like the old A team with mainly young players but first team squad can play if not in 1st team or coming back from injury?

Dont know if there is any official word on this but I know Leigh have already stated that they are wanting the comp to revert back to the old Reserves format with little restrictions on overage players .

Also looking at the starting line up that they have named for Thursday game with Fev they are going down that route already ..Pownell, Penkywicz, Alex Brown , Maden and Kurt Haggerty all named in their team . I'd assume Rovers are putting out a similar strength team.
