To be fair, I have seen her post about Rugby League quite recently in a tweet on social media when she became Secretary for Culture, Media & Sport. She was also involved in a 'skit', I can't think of how else to describe it, on social media with Hacker Dog from CBBC and Rugby League got a mention alongside football.

I think she has seemed more lopsided towards the football club in recent years as she was involved in trying to save them when they have been victim to wretched owners of the past.

I have no time for her either (in fact I refused to vote for Labour, largely as a result of her witless mouthings). She is the Minister for Sport, and we currently have male XY boxers in a ring with women at the Olympics. and all we hear from her is a deafening silence. Going OT, but isn't the woman an actual woman and not a trans person i.e she was born female?

The IOC are clueless mate. Somebody with XY chromosomes should not be boxing against a woman, they have a distinct advantage. Even though this is boxing the IOC has a duty of care to competitors.

No. The person is an XY male with a DSD (difference in sexual development). Which means she was raised as a girl, which is fair enough. But is in fact male. And presents as male. And did not seek to overturn her ban, which you'd have any female would do. Some women have higher testosterone levels than others, but there's really no overlap with male levels. Stuff I'm reading online about "tall basketball players have an advantage over short ones" is banal, and totally missing the point.

As Zig said, I expect her to say that XY boxers in a ring with natal females is wrong. This is a government that (rightly) was making a lot of noise just the other day about epidemic levels of Violence Against Women and Girls.

The IOC rules are, anyone with an F on their passport. In many countries these days, changing the sex marker on your passport is a simple matter, pay a few Euros, and it's sorted.
