| Game ended 13-13, Wigan led 10-2 at half time but ill discipline cost them as they had a man sent off and one sin-binned in a fiery game.
Huddersfield led 12-10 with 4 minutes to go, Wigan converted a penalty in front of the sticks then added a DG, Huddersfield went straight up the other end and did the same and nearly won it with the last play.
A hard fought opener with some tempers flaring at times.

| Game at Swinton got feisty as well, which I assume is a similar team. Hope the ill discipline can be stamped out of them sharpish, had enough of idiots like Joel Tomkins giving away cheap penalties at the end of sets.

Couldn’t comment on last night but I went to Swinton and in fairness to the players, they were only standing up for themselves. Swinton clearly had a game plan to try and intimidate them.

Roles reversed last night then, Wigan seemed to be frustrated that they weren't ahead by more, a lot of mistakes and errors by them caused them to want to fight more than play rugby, tried to intimidate the Giants players when they put a big hit in but when it was the other way round the Wigan players took the bait, 1 sent off and 2 sin-binned in the end i think.
