Just to let Wigan fans travelling to Wakefield know that major roadworks are scheduled to start next weekend about 400 yards from the rugby ground on the road heading towards Featherstone.
Don't know what congestion it will cause early doors but could well affect traffic into and out of the city.
May be advisable to set off a bit earlier, park away and walk it down to the ground if you want to get away quickly.

It has nothing to do with road works. The congestion is due to the queue of rugby club Chairman turning up to make an offer for Tom Johnston!

None of which could offer enough money!

Unlike past years we don't have the taxman, the bank or some creditor demanding we sell so that we can pay them their money.

So unless someone offers to build us a new stadium, Tom Johnstones going nowhere for at least 3 years.

Rest assured, Traffic will return to normal and be free flowing when the newly installed give way signs (saints backline) are
put in place.

If the road works are in place guys then get off at M1 junction 41and then use Sat nav to get you through Wakefield to Doncaster Road
Wakefield WF1 5EY and then onto Sugar lane for Parking

He's over-rated, has a bad attitude, always late for training and is constantly out on the lash.
Best avoided, trust me.

Could get off M62 at Normanton junction 31 I believe then head towards Wakefield via Normanton, Kirkthorpe and Heath(4 miles from M62).Park on the road near the Kings Arms country pub and walk it to ground..10 to 15 mins walk you can see the floodlights so no chance of getting lost.
