No its up to I.L. and if you read what he said quote (The position with Brian is exactly the same position as it's always been. As far as Wigan are concerned, we have a great respect for what he does) which is Noble as coach of Wigan

| He has prevented relegation, nearly got to the GF final on two occasions and just maybe the youth development and the like is starting to deliver. If Wigan can play at the same level as the weekend for the rest of the season then maybe he does have a future at the club.
I would love to see a more convincing start to the season for once though.

20333_1393344959.gif Current thoughts - Mago out or get running up them plantations, get fit or get rid.
Maybe a back up halfback, someone with a bit of experience on a short term deal.
Big tall strong running second rower, like a McMeekin or Sironen type back rower.:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_20333.gif |

| I want Noble to stay, not just because we have beat Saints, I want him to stay for another year after this one, 2010 was supposed to be the year we are up there challenging, lets give him to opportunity to do this and not get rid of him that would mean we break cabbages by throwing them in a babys bath water with humpty dumpty!
I have said before, give Noble until the end of the season, if he gets us to a final then give him a new one year deal, if we win something then a 2 year deal.
The only coach I would want to replace him would be Brian Smith or Wayne Bennett or to a lesser extent Justin Morgan, Nathan Brown or John Kear.

| Saturdays result has both positive and negative effects on Noble, we have shown how we can play so now fans expectations will have risen again. For me he needs the CC to keep the fans happy.
Whatever happens, the club is in a far better state then when he took over.

exactly!! some people on here are pathetic!! this is the main reason we're still stuck with noble IMO, one result and all the pressure dies away and everyone is happy with him again.....its like the hull home result or the harlequins away result all over again!!
I wish people would see the bigger picture, as it appears leneghan has done being non committal and (hopefully) not offering noble a new contract. Noble has steadied us but we will go no further under him as he is technically inadequate as a coach. Noble still needs to go despite the fact we beat saints....and for people to change their minds so quickly after one result is quite frankly pathetic.
IMO the only way Noble will save his job is to win the challenge cup or GF, the team is good enough but unfortunately I can't see him being good enough to do this and therefore I think he will be out at the end of the season and we can move forward!

| Everything he says is true. The club is in better shape ten fold.
It is going to totally split fans if Noble is given a new deal. I hope IL has the stones to back that call, if he belives Noble can kick on from this.

If i was leneghan I would make the equation very simple.........win us the CC or SL nobby or your out.....that way no one can say he hasn't had the chance and IMO nobby will fall at the final hurdle again and put himself out of the job because despite the team being good enough he is not a good enough coach to lead us to glory!

| Iv never called for Noble to go but I have wondered at times if hes the right person but after that performance he proved that what he's been saying about all the attacking plays in training are true. We looked outstanding.
I think Noble is actually getting the potential out of OLoughlin, he looked like a real Loose Forward against Saints, Kicking the ball, passing, running. And it wasnt a one off, hes been very good in that way for a good few games now and improving each time.
I kind of laughed at what Phil Clarke said on the commentry, that Martin Gleeson has made a huge difference to the team, even Phil himself said one person cant make a team but since he's joined we look like a far more attacking team.
Best of all I think finally we do have a balanced team with no star "goto" player like Barrett, Im sure this must help in bringing everyone together.
If the Saints game was a sign of things to come then Noble deserves to stay.
