Just back from lunch and Quins are 14-4 up and a hat trick to the sharpster. COME ON YOU QUINS!!
Let us all hope 2 points is the outcome and this is the starting point of the season.
Crowd appears to be very dire.

The one thing that has been good to hear is the attacks been good, everyone seems to know what they doing and having BJB entering the line sure does add something to it.

Just hope its the start of something to cheer up our season.

As for crowd,Rammo said it vey small. icon_sad.gif

Good Effort so far by the lads. I had intended going today but last minute work commitments dictated otherwise, so the crowd was -1 due to my non attendance

Couldn't make it either, again. Sounded a good performance but Catalans must have been woeful in the 2nd half - so much dropped ball.

As for the attendance, I have a ST so I think I'll be counted as having been there.

Crowd -1 more due to me being ill though as a ST holder I may be included in the final figure. I've also had a text from someone who was planning on going saying they were abandoning as public transport delays meant they would miss most of the first half. That may have claimed a few more potential attendees. Sadly I doubt it kept a couple of thousand away.

Certainly a much better performance from us but Catalans made a lot of mistakes.

Crowd announced over the PA at 2300. Some good performances from the young lads. Impressed with Bolger who had a couple of good runs. Give credit to Quins who kept the Dragons out and forced errors.

Our defence stood it's ground well and forced the big cats back back to the middle very well.

Our attack improved on the past two games, although at times we lost the plot in the final 20m.

Gale had a good game, kicking was as good as we have seen by any quins side at home in the past four seasons.

Randall doesn't look his zippy self. Bolger shown up down the flank and had a bit of the Hoppo in his running style.

Sharp finally got the ball without having to be a cart horse which was a real plus.

But jones bishop looks class again, inches from some spectacular breaks. Spend what we saved on Robinson and get him signed as a permanent.

Much better, but still a bit early to be popping open the bubbly.

Thought we played pretty well in the first half with few errors and penalties. Was a bit of a dogfight, livened occassionally by BJB.

Second half was scrappy from both sides with plenty of handling errors, although we always seemed to be in control - a bit like a reverse of the Wakefield game. We got the rub of the green mostly, i thought.

Overall, looked solid in defence (albeit not having to face Bosc) but not much threat in attack. Pitch seemed heavy and was a bit damp, so i guess we can hope for better in the future.

Gave away 3 penalties on the fifth tackle, none of which could have been considered try savers.

Will's catch and grrounding for 2nd try was spectacular by the way. I assume he was MOM.

Here's what BMcD had to say about it:

"Will is much more than just a fast bloke. He is a bit of a freak really and he does things other players cannot.

"He is like a cat in a way - you can throw him around or up in the air and he always seems to land on his feet.

"He did not have the best of times last year - few of our players did - but he seems back to his best. "

Strange thing is that is he isn't actually that fast.
