| I'm going with a group of 13. No idea where we are sitting as I didn't organise it.
Have seen plenty of promotion in TNT, and even a comp in the London Lite to win tickets. Would love to see a massive crowd, but would be happy with 7,000.

| Said it at the time and I'll say it again. The game was a bonus and should have been treated as one. Every school, college, parent, resident and business in the area should have been targeted and given free tickets to the game. It should have been treated as a giant press confernce. Get 12 k in the ground and sell sell sell season tickets shirts you name it. The boxes should have been chock full of peeps from all the media outlets in London on a big bevy up with people from the office pushing Quins promo stuff down their throats.

You're doing damned well. And being local I would hope there's a good chance some will come back after seeing a great game with a great atmosphere

Both are declaring 22% increase in ad space sold in Q4 last year....but not declaring the revenue? There are bargains to be had IF you know how to go about it!

Surely we should be able to get some column space even if its only once a week tagged in with the union in the metro/lite? I know it might take a bit of leg work, but I find it hard to beleive that if we continually threw out Press Releases to them that were ready to run that it wouldnt be picked up.

Alas, there is a pre-occupation with the round ball and a begrudging mention of the rah rah game in all of the London Press, but that's about it.
I understand that there were many many many invitations sent to Journos for the manly game, but most invitees were "busy" on Sunday. Short of sending a limo to pick some of these people up and getting them laid, we are pi55ing against the wind by simply trying to PR our way into the public concienceness.....
On the other hand, if we were simply to offer a match day sponsorship, together with 250 free tickets, 3 Boxes for the management and maybe a free beer voucher for each of the 250 staff, to either London Lite or The London Paper with NO STRINGS ATTACHED, I am fairly confident that they may start to receive our press releases more favourably. Money is tight at the club, but some form of contra deal (Barter card esque) might be the way forward.

I understand the situation that the club is in regarding the way the london press works. Reading comments by the journos in the free friday rag the sport proves the 'descrimination' against the sport in this city.
Having worked to change the attitudes of editors previously, you are right, its all about the contra. Occasionally flooding the paper with the offer of winning tickets. Giving the editors and journos money cant buy experiences, a bit of corporate hospitality or invites to golf days occasionally and a few tickets here and there. It can be a struggle, but it doesnt have to cost the world.
From my limited time in the city, the metro would be the ones to target initially as they seem to have more column space dedicated for sport. They even ran decent stories throughout the world cup.

| I don't know about anyone else, but im starting to worry there might be a low turn out for this game. Simple reason is there has been nothing on the Quins web site to say anything about ticket sales, where as in the past we have done this when saleing well for certain games.(i.e St's and Wigan)
You would have think that they would have put on site that Radio London going to be there for this game.
I am hoping im wrong in all this and it just down to to busy to update web site .But it be a shame for the team if it does turn out to be low and not only that a bit embarrassing for the club to and may put in doult any chance of repeating this fixture for next year.

| I think minimum attendance for Sunday to stave off embarassment is 6,500 - 7,000. Anything below 6,500 would be just awful.

| IMO we will get 5,000......and believe me, I am not chuffed with this fugure, but we have sold enough pre-booked tickets for me to believe this is the figure we will achieve.
As it is, I am depressed already because this is another "lost" opportunity and due to the tunnel vision of some people at the club (or lack of the correct people at the club), no money is made available to M-A-R-K-K-E-T the club/game/experience.
5,000 max for this game....which means it may well be our best crowd of the season
I hope I am wrong....I really do.

I would have given All who wanted to attend under the age of 16 entrance for a quid. Accompanying adult a fiver and given the whole of the lexus to them. Might cost the club a few quid but the poential for returns(We will beat Manly)IMO is or was huge.

2 adults x £5 each =10
2 kids at £1 each=2
10 + 2 =12
family ticket(2 adults + 2 kids) available for £15.
All but for £3 that is what they have done
Anything else they are doing you would like to criticize

No criticism of the club but even before the tickets went on sale the powers that be could have decided they want a great crowd,The family ticket which I have applauded earlier and think should be a season long event is a great idea. My idea would have been to let an accompanying adult take under 16's in for a £1.This may have got a few schools involved and letting the Lexus be used for this may have cost the club a few quid(couple of stewards and bar staff for the drinks at half time) but a stand for the day that had the same age groupage .Youngsters enjoy being in the company of their peers.I have been confident of a decent crowd for this game and hope the club learn and try to take on any ideas that may just may guarantee Our future as a club in 2012.

| One moment we are saying this match cannot be called off because of the efforts gone into promoting it, the next its being stated that the marketing has been lousy? I thought the club had done alright on this one, getting it into the right channels etc.
I'm expecting around 6000, and IMO this is not too bad. Perspective is important here - this is still a friendly at the beginning of the season on a reasonably cool February Sunday.
