Hudds will give us a difficult game & wonder how many times the CC draw throws up ties between SL clubs that have played 1/2 weeks prior.

At least the Rhino v Saints game will stop all suggestions that 'early' rounds are 'fixed' to ensure that the top 'draw' clubs do not meet

Agree that the QRL game could be the second TV game though believe that Dragons v Bulls would be 'popular' with the BBC 'brass' but bearing in mind they sre 'cash strapped' it'd unlikely.

I'm thinking Widnes Halifax would be a good one for the telly. Think that would be a cracker. Halifax are doing some very good things over there and have put together a cracking little team.

The second TV game could be HKR, as all the Beeb would have to do is shift their bits and bobs down the M62 from Leeds.

If we had drawn one of the other SL team's from up North then i think we have been more in with a shout of being on BBC. No offence meant at Hudd's im just going on when you look at the SL show on BBC, they like us only get a short mention, unlike the main players(as far they are concerned at BBC north).

I don't hold with this "I hope we are not on TV opinion". One of the things we are starved of down here is the oxygen of publicity, it is a fact that a large percentage of people in London do not know we exist so an outing on TV has to be good in my opinion.

Swings and roundabouts PP. Yes, national exposure is good, but 2,000 (last year v castleford) fans in a 12,500 seater stadium isn't.

It'll be the Leeds and Celtic games that get shown.

The crusaders are a story -old now but that never stops the beebs lazy RL coverage. They can do one of their nice little pre pieces on how the game is expanding its horizons with a couple of talking head shots about the work thats gone on in developing the game, then cut to them training.

Leeds Saints they can do a bit on how one of the giants of the game is going to get knocked out at the first hurdle (there's a coleman balls if ever ive written one)

I agree, if we are on TV, why not try and get the locals and kids in at a cut rate, thye could fill the seats and it will look better and they might get hooked. We should make money on perimeter advertising. If we are on TV it must be looked upon as an opportunity. There are some sports that would give their annual budget to be on terrestrial TV.
