The Wigan fans were especially shameless in thier perving on Saturday - there were loads of them standing down the front filming and taking snaps! I mentioned this to a female friend on Sunday who happens to come from Wigan, and her reply was "Were they waving pies instead of pom-poms?"

The girls know what they are doing, I was chatting to a few of them after the game and they are a bit more savvy than you think. The choose to earn a living by dancing, and they know how to 'market' themselves. Good for them I say, they must be pretty fit and healthy.

Bravo to the ladies!

At the build up to the festive day they were sat in the office swallowing {easy!} helium from the baloons and havin' a laugh. When I asked them to help decorate the trees, they were up like a shot {i said easy!!!} and decorating the tree.

Your right GF just had a nose on web. Kent Ravens, but looks like they have moved from dartford (stadium with grass roof), to New Ash Green. It does not say if they still have Cassie and the cheerleaders on their web site.

Good luck to the lasses I thought their outfits were great and much better than last year. My 12 year old nephew certainly enjoyed the "rear" view he nearly fell out of his seat and had to be forcibly restrained....

Support the 'gals'......the problem with the RL cheerleader 'police' is that they want to build links with the UK 'pom pom' association and feel they need to keep to that lot's 'dress code'. All very PC and made worse by the fact that most 'pom pom' squads cater for kids between 10 & 15 ie before they 'find' boyfriends!!!

They are not real 'cheerleaders'........in the States that only starts when you get to junior year of high school and in fact they are 'real' athelets and it's a full comp 'sport'. Afterward the college teams - which often include men - are part of the marching band display as well as 'cheerleaders'. In pro sports it's a 'honor' job where the girls act as both 'cheerleaders' and promo staff for the team. Also the squads are never less than 24/30 strong with great selection of kit and at the preseaon trial camps 200/400 come to try out for perhaps just 6/8 slots.

Very few, if any, are 'dancers' but more often jnr excutives, company PA's, models etc some even run their own business or shops.

At least this years QRL team have 24+ girls on the rooster and their 'dance numbers' & 'outfits' seem better than in recent seasons.

Still we clearly have some PC, bluestorkings among our supporters, what a shame!! Not cool!! Wonder what Clarkson would say!!!

Not a fan of the concept at all, to put it mildly. It gives me a lovely smug feeling to be in the minority at a minority sport.
