There have been recent scientific studies carried out potentially linking head trauma to ALS. This is something our governing body needs to follow closely and continue to protect the wellbeing of players within the sport.

Unfortunately, it's not just MND either.

RL is very much behind in terms of identifying the problems that head trauma can cause compared to the likes of the NFL and RU (and even football).

Unfortunately, whilst the governing body (and referees) ignore the scores of tackles that make contact with the head and neck each game, nothing will change.

The change in the NFL was brought about by numerous lawsuits from former players, the change in the RU tackle was brought about by fear of lawsuits... When and how does RL change??
