Thanks Durham Giant, that about sums it up. I can only apologise for any upset I have caused. If it helps I feel like a prize buffoon, but I have to dust myself off and start again.
This scheme is as much about raising the profile of Rugby League outside of Super League as it is about anything else, if we can benefit other teams whilst achieving our goal then that is even better.
Most Rugby League fans believe the RFL do not do enough to promote the game, so I want this to be starting a point to get people to see more live games of Rugby.
With so many Super League games taking place during the week now; it can only help the game as a whole if we get as many people watching live games as we can.
Cost is obviously a big stumbling block which is stopping people from attending more games, especially for families. So we have tried to remove that "block" and hope we can pack the Mount on Sunday and provide good enough entertainment to keep people coming back every time there own team is not playing on the same day.
With so many of your current players coming through the ranks at Batley before hitting the big time with you over recent years. I thought this might be of interest.
