| Enjoyed the game due to Batley giving their all. Did everyone around you go "who tf is that." when Lewis Foster scored?

Not so much "Who is he?" as "When did he come on?!?"
I think it was his 1st touch and he scooted through about 7 defenders to score!
Could be a big player for us in years to come!

Because of the lack of reserve or under 19's, this kid has not played for SIX months!!

No, I am pretty sure it was players that won yesterday.
It wasn't a sparkling performance but we rested McNally, Worthington, Ridyard, Drinkwater, Higham, Hock, Maitua and Tickle. Rest 8 players from any side and they would look a bit rusty.
Some players were excellent. Weston and Higson were superb and I enjoyed the performances of both Hood and Foster at hooker. Keegan Hirst was also excellent as always in opposition, pleased he has picked up a SL deal as he is clearly good enough.
Wouldn't say racking up 40+ points against very decent opposition with half a team rested was a 'total piece of crap'.

Think Foster did about 2 months on loan at Oldham towards the back end of the regular season. Picked up some pretty favourable reviews too!

He certainly looks promising - his distribution from the PTB is excellent. However I do worry how he's going to get a look in, although I believe we are running a reserve team next season which will certainly help fringe players

| I really like Lewis Foster I think he will become a top player perhaps, international too ! I remember seeing him play in a pre-season friendly against Wire at Leigh and he was 'mixing it' with the likes of Morley! I thought "cheeky little bug'er" He is the best passer of a ball from the floor than anyone at the club and the 'Pivots' must relish playing with him! I don't know what his Contract is but double it now, a sound investment and I look forward to seeing him starring for us in the future!

| For those who thought the game was crap, no it wasn't, Bradford 80 Sheffield 0 that's crap
I thought Burns and Reynolds were excellent against the more experienced pairing of Brambani and Walker who, have orchestrated Batley's 'Successful' season.
I do hope Willie Tonga keeps fit,( he certainly looked it on Saturday) one pass he slipped to Dawson was sublime! the mark of a class player, none of our other centres can give those type of passes, that's why Willie played 13 times for Australia! lets face it, to play Centre so many times for Australia you've got to be very special

Hopefully Willie can play 13 times for us before he leaves. One pass doesn't equal a season.Foster needs game time as does Reynolds. Will they get that next season at Leigh? Brambani had a poor game by his standards.Errors galore from both teams.Very poor game of RL.

Over 50 years of pain, pleasure, frustration, joy, heartache and ecstasy that supporting Leigh has given me but I would not swop it.: |

I think you are being a bit harsh on a team that hardly played together as a unit this season, the weather was roasting and I think really warm weather does bring errors due to fatigue. A great day for the fans to celebrate and for me a good win was a bonus and I'm sure a lot of people who turned up for the first time will want to return next season.

| Negatives from Saturday's game:
Robbie Williams
PA in North Stand is terrible (volume wise) but at least this negated having to listen to Williams
Stop bringing drums
Handling errors galore (I'm looking at you Hoppy).
Positives:
Our "replacements" at 1, 6, 7 and 9 (both) went well, I personally thought Burns should have been MoM, his best game for us, which doesn't say much but he controlled everything attack wise and defensively was strong too.
Lambrini did indeed have a poor game, positive for us.
The North stand was fantastic, felt louder than it was even at the most hysterical times vs Huddersfield and that's with half the people more concerned with getting drunk than what is happening on the pitch.
I think the errors do stand out more than and skill in the game but I thought the team as a whole and its makeshift nature still gelled very well.

Yup. and as previously discussed, a missed opportunity to get a plethora of new ticket sign-ups for next year by displaying champagne rugby to past and new potential clients. A blatant disconnect between marketing and Jukes on this one? Yeah I know, Jukes rested players as he wants to top the table by beating Leeds, etc. etc.
Even "free" didn't fill the ground to max capacity. With 10K plus target audience in front of you - SELL, SELL, SELL.
Have a great week everyone...
