I totally agree with your statement that in our current position it is vital we have a partnership with Wigan, without the support i believe we probably be looking at around 8th or 9th in the league and definitely not be in any final.
Next year again will be a difficult, but with a chance of being in the new set up for 2015 we may get more fans back as i think the biggest turn off for supporters is the fact that there is no promotion. If we stop the partnership with Wigan as some fans on this forum want Leigh will not be in the mix for 2015 season no matter how good Paul Rowley picks and coaches his team.
Only a few years ago Leigh were relegated into the bottom tier but survived due to the fact another club went bust, so lets keep pushing forward to get the missing fans back to the club.

Needs must as I stated, in all fairness to Keith Freer and Trevor they had no option and PR needed the options. Despite the new BOM, decent form and reasonable weather crowds are still low and need to improve quickly as we cant pump good money after bad to subsidise fans that are staying away for ever.
We are looking at pricing structures initiatives and incentives, we will trail a couple of Event days this season (O2 day already arranged) and are looking to completely overhaul the match day experience to get people buying season tickets etc. for next year and some exciting deals and things to come but the bottom line is we need an average of no less than 2.5k next season to demonstrate we will be ready to challenge in the new structures IMO.
People now have the chance to vote with their feet and really make that difference, if you want rid of the DR and Wigan partnership back us till this season ends demonstrate commitment when STs go on sale as we are looking to get them on sale early and we will then look to do away with DRs and Wigan and finance a bigger squad and the U20s it really is that simple.

953.jpg 2015 - major missed opportunity, 2016 - stronger teams = harder task (no problem there then), 2017 - OMG What now!!!:953.jpg |

| The earliest we can now make the top 12 clubs is now 2016 (unless they do franchise bids for the 12 for 2015). First challenge is to keep us in the top 6 or 8 next season.......then the fun begins. Its gonna be really tough to get the crowds in next season as it us now. I just hope you realise that. It isn't going to happen overnight.

We all appreciate how difficult it is but standing back and looking at something thinking its tough wont get us anywere.
Its on the line now we have the facilities, the board, the coaching staff and players the ball is well and truly in the fans court now to prove if they want a bright future or not.

| I already applauded this statement on another thread and do so again.
My pledge is to purchase a season ticket as soon as they are released. My Dad goes to most home games so it will make a great present.

| Andy,
If you are going to have a deal on Season Tickets, can we have a definitive statement on what days our games will be played on. I know the televisied ones are out of our hands, but can we now get precedence over Swinton and commit to having all outr non-televised hoe games on a Sunday afternoon. This more than the cost would persuade me to buy a ST.

A fool shows his annoyance at once, but a prudent man overlooks an insult”: |
|
| All fine and dandy lad,but the previous board all but destroyed the club with the previous link up with warrington and seeing who smith would let us play that week coupled with no promotion ripped the interest out of the crowd.
Then trev's awful attempt of explaining how it was great for us to be able to play these wigan lads and we were the idiots for not supporting it was the final nail.
People have voted with there feet and fingers judging by the lack of interest on here at times.
Fully understand you need to balance the books and are toying with the idea of staying twinned for next season, but fans like me will not attend until its ripped up,can't make it anymore clearer than that.
Our party use to number 9 and now 2 go depending on who the game is against
Rip up the deal on duels and you get us 9 back next season
Good luck in the final

| Well its pretty clear the BOD / BOM will stop the dual reg farce if we get fans backing the club.
Now I'm no fan of DR and still don't see a need for it (if it means we are the 8th best team then so be it - I'll take 8th as a independent over 2nd as a dual reg'd club) BUT lets be totally honest here....
Our club needs support to stand still, yes the DR is a farce and a insult to many HOWEVER it was done and dusted before the new mob came in and by staying away its losing the club money - Wigan must love it as already on these boards we see a occasional 'Wigan love in' so if we go bust they'll gain a couple of hundred fans and a few generations of fans after that - is that what we want, is that what guys disgusted with the DR want - I'd imagine all fans would sing from the same hymn sheet if that was to happen but by staying away you are increasing the likelihood, we are down to a pathetic gate of circa 1,500 - we could play at a amateur RL ground on those gates - so lets stop messing around.
Whilst we can all argue about it and argue that PR would want to keep it (I've said before he's 6 games from the sack in a results industry - of course he'd want to keep all options open, he's not a idiot) but I firmly believe if the club somehow started to get decent support then this would be binned as the guys running the club know long term its harming the clubs chances of players and existence.
I'd argue 95% of current fans who still go don't want to see Wigan players (or anyone elses) getting match practise to get in the big clubs team but we are doing it tough right now so have no option.
I still believe a helluva lot of work needs to be done by the current BOD / BOM and am still critical that the actions are slow (in fact hardly much difference in real terms that the previous owners) but I'm also more confident than ever that these guys and girls will turn it around - lets give em a chance and at the same time back the lads, by staying away it harms the club and gives the advantage to Wigan - lets not do that.

Hi Jenky
Thank you for your post, please remember the majority of an iceberg cannot be seen and its this that allows it to float
The yet to be finalised changes in the games structure make the next few years vital to our future, it is our intention to seize the initiative and sell our vision to fans old and new, the take up of which will ultimately dictate our future success
A lot has been going on behind the scenes these past few weeks and the work put in by all but especially John and Michael has been unbelievable considering what they also do as a day job, thanks guys
Our relationship with the LSV is brilliant, and this will create huge improvements going forward for the benefit of all
I see the process of create the platform, identify opportunities, create products to maximise the potential of those opportunities and sell the benefits to our current and prospective stakeholders, motivating them to be an active part of what will be an exciting journey
The platform is almost complete and I can't wait for the journey to begin but trust us to get the foundations right because we want something that lasts
Neil

| I'd much prefer no linkup however needs must and the club needs money to survive. So I choose to support the club and not try and bully those in charge. JIC says good luck in the final.......empty words in my opinion.

| So don't come because we play Tom Spencer; Do me a favour.
It costs our club a lot of gate money just to play at the LSV and we get nothing from bar or food sales.
Jesus is Coming 7 of you will be back if we are in Champ 1 ? Get real.
The way to get only contracted Leigh players every week is to support your club and if you won't be at the NRC Final a week Saturday you can't imo care about the club that much.
Do you want our club to play only contracted Leythers ? Well I think most of us who still go do too but unless we get decent home attendances how is that going to happen ?

Agreed. I can't make evening matches but that's my problem. At least though if it were announced that all our home games would be played on the same day and the same time, regardless of whther it is Friday evening, Sunday afternoon or Wednesday morning, everyone would know whether they could get there and whther it is worth buying aseason ticket.
