| Ouch indeed.
So if Barrow's points deduction counts this season and relegates them, who is now reprieved? The RFL really need to clarify & confirm the make-up of the divisions next year sooner rather than later.
And if Barrow are appealing the decision - does that mean the RFL's fixture planners, not to mention the recruitment plans of Barrow and a number of other clubs at the bottom of our division or top of C1 now have to be put on hold until it's all resolved?

| Dewsbury would be the favourites one would think, and yes, I would think the RFL would want to speed up any appeal and would expect it to be heard in early November

| Bet they put crusaders back in.
With no quota or salary cap and exempt from relegation!

| I think they should 'reprieve' Toulouse personally.

Don't worry Matt, we'll get them away in the NRC and Challenge Cup, with another trip to France in the Anglo-French. In fact, I hear that they are boarding up the windows already!

Glad to hear it, as I hear the Salmon Army aren't happy at the prospect of only one weekend away next year at York, though I have suggested a weekender for Swinton away and staying at the Park Inn.

| This is just another way that the RFL keep us Championship clubs in our place, beneath the table of the fat cats of SL waiting for a few crumbs to fall off as we doff our caps to them.
As mad as Des is, he had ambition to take Barrow to the top. However, you can only work within the £400,000 salary cap which is an absolute joke.
Richard Lewis the Meerkat and Nigel Woods should be banned sine die from Rugby League for their excellent service to Rugby Union. Along with SKY, they have killed the game off in the heartlands. You can't run a sport with no promotion and relegation , it's farcical.

| No disrespect to Dewsbury but with one of the poorest on feild teams in this league being reinstated if we survive this money crisis & play next season it helps us in terms of not being relegation hopefully with one of the stronger clubs in the championship being rightly relegated

| It annoys me that a team gets penalised for showing ambition. Ok, so Des broke every rule going, but those rules are there to keep the Championship clubs down, and as in the case of Leigh and others, with no prospects of promotion then crowds and income go down and your club goes into liquidation.
The RFL say the rules are to stop clubs going bust searching for glory. That's their view. My view is that with no prospect of promotion clubs go bust anyway and then the SL clubs have a bigger catchment area for new players and supporters. It has all been engineered by SKY and the RFL.
That's why I am cancelling my full SKY package and why I have also stopped watching Rugby League after 50 years. It's a complete joke now, but I do think that it will spread like wildfire in London and Wales.

| well i am sorry, they broke the rules, they pay tyhe price, i love going to dewsbury, the ale is great at the station, so i am pleassed, as for des, he is a nutter and a control freak, when are clubs going to learn, having one man with the money, inevitably especially at our level leads to problems.
