| As some of us weren't even a twinkle in the eye in 1971, this thread will remain a strictly Wembley-free zone! Even though the National League Cup is a pretty young competition (first one in 2002 after scrapping the Trans Pennine Cup), I'd say we've got quite a few memories from it.
Leroy Rivett scoring a full lengther in the 2003 final against Salford within the first few minutes. Leigh end went mental and for a while I think we were daft enough to think we had a chance of winning it!
Tommy Martyn scoring with the last play of the game to win the semi final at Whitehaven in 2004. Absolute bedlam.
Tommy Martyn kicking a drop goal from the left hand touchline in the 2004 final against Hull KR despite being about three inches from landing on his backside. We didn't half hammer them that day.
Our first try against Hull KR in the 2006 final - put us right back in to contention after being well behind early on and eventually paid off. What a day

I still remember a very wet day at CP v Widnes `81.................It was n`t Wembley , although I was there has an 8 yr old......Happy days.
Anyway regards the final in it`s many formats;
20001 v Keighley at their place 0-35 ish Awesome
2004 v KR at Spotland when some of their fans made total tools of themselves.......
