| Yes in the same week our local rivals Wigan splashed the cash on bringing in 3 melbourne storm star players, they have allowed it seems young centre Ian Thornley to leave and join Sale Sharks, if i were a Wigan fan i would be particularly disapointed, not in signing these star aussies, but in the fact that another promising young lad has been allowed to move to RU. I would of thought the money spent on finch, hoffman and lima could of been used to keep this lad in our game. But then again i am not a Wigan fan (thankfully) but as a League fan its always a shame to see one of our own go over to the other side.

| There have been annual rumours about him going to RU and he's never been one of the more highly-rated players as far as I've heard so I wouldn't read too much in to it.

| It happens, Wigan probably offered him a one or two year contract, Sale have given him a three year contract ad if he's half decent he'll be an England international before long. They can't keep em all.

| Reading the VT Wig@n offered him a contract and Sale offered him £70k, hardly going to turn that down!

| Its amazing how Wigan are bigging up the signing of Lima, Hoffman and Finch. Yes they will be good players in a good team but I wouldnt exactly call them the cream of the Storm team in recent years. Now had Wigan signed, Smith, Cronk, Folau, Slater or Inglis then just maybe that would have been a story??
Funny when you run through the list above is any surprise the Storm were over the cap??

| Ian Thornley is/was very highly rated at Wigan, there is also the possibility that Stefan Marsh may also be going to Sale RU. Two very good young players, i would be a tad upset if i was Wigan fan, but i'm not so don't care that much, apart from the obvious argument re: franchising and developing good young British talent???
