What an outstanding Warrington citizen Mr Rathbone (or "action" as he was called) was. I remember seeing him in Wigan after a game there with his knuckles bloodied with a couple of coppers asking him how he had done it.

Another time in a packed Lion on a Friday night, I must have bumped into him and he swung a punch at me as I walked past, not quite connecting but I felt the draught off it. I remember turning round to see him mouthing "I'll ******* see you outside after".

Think he just liked whacking folk and used RL as a legal means to do it. Fortunately he doesn't know where I live.
