I see that the Super League show is on at daft o'clock again today - 11:25pm and some god unearly hour in the morning. I really don't understand why the BBC do this. I know they have been canvassed to televise it nationally but not sure about the timings. Why can't they just show it at a decent time on one of their other channels?

I know it's available on iPlayer to watch whenever, but when there's no game to watch at all on a Sunday it would be good to be able to watch this at a decent time! Rant over I'm off to collect my train tickets for Edinburgh

Given BBC's orders to cut costs - massively - over the next five years, I wouldn't be worrying about the SL Show for much longer.

I put it down to a lack of education and a bad upbringing of BBC managers. Maybe once the BBC moves north to Salford they might realise what theyve been missing all these years.

Not with Salford. They won't get there licence back. Widnes will be in super league when the licences run out.

And that is why Salford WILL remain a superdooperleague side.

I personally think the BBC dont deserve to show any RL whatsoever. I dread the challenge cup coming around, because their coverage is just an embarrassment. I hate that big bird who presents and there mix of aussies and welsh summarisers just annoys me.

As for the super league show, I have noticed in regions that dont show it they just show a repeat of a crap old comedy etc, surely more people would watch a rugby show than this? I havent got time to go into the presentation of the super league show!!!

Hit the nail on the head there, sue Barker presenting rugby is cringeworthy, she clearly knows nothing about the sport and has no interest in it at all.

Clare Balding normally does the Rugby League on the BBC and i think she does a great job, she really does he homework and for me is the only possitive thing about the BBC coverage. I am not aware of Sue Barker doing it at all

Clare Balding has read alot about the sport, but doesnt have the in depth knowledge you would get from a RU presenter such as Inverdale (who hates RL!)

We need a RL person presenting who can represent the sport, not a southern equestrian expert who has drawn the short straw! Johnathan Davies is a RU expert and should stick to that. Careny has a good knowledge as does Kear. Harry gration is a big RL fan, but has turned into a shocking presenter!

When you look at the recent past presenters of RL on the BBC, you'll see that Balding has more indepth knowledge than the likes of Rider and Inverdale (who actually has presented RL previously).



No necessarily. John Davies did a great job presenting the 2008 RLWC on Sky Sports and he's not reknowned as a RL person. He had two guest analysts, in which one of them, Paul Cullen, helped him out immensely due to his articulate nature and his knowledge of the game.

The other, err, anaylst was Martin Offiah.

BBC woes continue as Big Bird has seemingly fallen out of favour with the RL watching public.
