As far as lower league Rugby goes it wasn't a bad watch, the weather was awful and some of the play matched that. But better than watching Drogba & Co falling all over the place.
Was a tight game that I thought those from the land of Smell would go on to win but hey, happy days, they never.

Agreed it was a good watch - little of the boring running from Dummy-half you get in SL- how disorganised were Widnes though -without Webster it would have been a massacre ...

If so then I think he has won four and lost five. His team have scored 178 points and conceded 185 points. Without looking at his record with Wire, I would imagine this is similar, maybe even a little better. Unfair comparison though as Wire were a lower to mid table team during the bulk of his 'reign', however Wierdness were expected to be a top, if not the top NL team.

I'll be very surprised if he is still the Wierdness coach this time in 2010.

Would of been alot worse if they didn't have Jimmy Webster.

It was a half decent game & right until the last minute it could have gone either way. I think Cullen made a huge error going for 2 when they were 22-20 down & camped on the Haven line with a set of 6 in the bank.

Wasn't impressed however with Widnes with the swinging arms, off the ball crap & every tackle involving a hand between the legs.

And a serious question. Has the Haven coach ever been on fire ??

Those drop goal attemps at the end were awful

Well, it was VERY windy and the pitch a bit soft.

..and goes to prove how difficult a skill dropping a goal under pressure actually is.
