That's what I thought. I'm sure I read an interview where it was catagorically stated that Myler was going nowhere.

You are right I read that too......As we need backs, and we have a new coach who will want to make changes (if changes are required in his opinion). We will be linked with every back there is, so until we are told otherwise I would take it all with a pinch of salt.

| Lets separate this article into speculation and fact:
Speculation
Quote WARRINGTON are believed to be lining up an audacious end-of- season swoop for Salford's in-form scrum-half Richard Myler'"
Quote Speculation, however, is rife of a big-money Wolves bid being imminent. '"
Quote Rumours have been further fuelled following reports of a likely return to Australia at the end of the season for the current Warrington scrum-half Michael Monaghan.'"
Quote If this is to happen, Myler whose dad Rob played for Warrington could be lined up as the ready-made replacement.'"
Fact
Quote Salford bosses last week issued a "hands off" warning to any rival Super League club considering targeting Myler.'"
Quote Salford have again reiterated their stance and say they are determined to keep Myler who is under contract.'"
Quote Salford, are currently working on an improved deal to keep Myler, who is represented by Martin Offiah, at the Willows.'"

Surely the fact that Salford have issued a 'hands off' warning and are working on an improved deal make the speculation that a club is interested in signing him a fact? The only thing that is speculation is that the club is Warrington.

pretty much.
We are looking to bring through Wheeler and / or Eastmond so I cant see us being interested when we have to strengthen elsewhere. Burrow, McGuire and Sinfield have years left so ditto. You guys have as much if not more chance than anyone else.

| it amazes me some to the stuff I read on here and some of speculation...Macrae out and Millward in.....Myler done deal, I don't think so, I know quite a few people who as you say move in Rugby League Circles....certainly in WIre circles.....and I think you are jumping ahead of yourself....
Fact ....Is Myler is still sorting his contract out through his agent Martin Offiah......and Salford very much stating they are keeping him....
I read in the Rugby League express that Wigan were supposed to be after him too and Salford have clearly said hands off......
What ever you say your mate is only speculating and even though I know people in the know......nothing is ever a done deal, unless ya name is Tony Smith and you would be clearly be in position to announce it then

I agree I can not see Millward coming here again, to coach at Salford and as Macrae has done some good work at Salford he won't go anywhere, they have three years to build as a club and for the sake of consistency the club will want to keep the coaching staff and thier key players...

because Millward is good mates with Steve Sims and we all know Mcrae is not liked by the Salford board and some playing staff after what young Marlon Alker did in Jacksonvile

| is stev sims is such a good friend of Ian Millward he should of offered him something at the club before now, when Millward was unemployed and still in this country.....and needed a job....rumour hearsay...
I am sure the board just want whats best for the team and if Macrae ends up delivering results I think they will be professional enough to get on with the bloke.....
It seems anyone could post any thread on the site and someone will know someone, who has heard that it might be true and find some thread of a connection
its amazing to see

Is it time for the annual McRae out Millward in rumour again? I didn't think that was due for a few weeks yet

| The simple answer is if a club can put enough cash on the table there will be a point that Salford will not be able to say no.
I am not saying that Warrington have, maybe Wigan have but no one is a dead cert to stay at any team.
Look at Paul Cooke, no one expected that or saw it coming.

Perhaps if 250k has been put on the table and salford call him in to say they want to take the offer, He would do a Gaius Julius Caesar and demand more, saying he is worth much more than that!
We then sign a young halfback from Saints and the process will have gone full circle.

| No reason why Salford would ditch McRae for Millward. McRae doing alright so far with what is far from the best squad in SL but they are now winning a few games. Millward's reputation is now shot after the debacle at the Pies. Myler may move ( not necessarily to Wire ) at season end because Salford must be hurting for cash. With their new stadium now delayed they will know that getting 5,00 speccies into the Willows won't pay for an SL squad let alone allow for improvements. A big enough cheque from any of the contenders may well seal it. Personally, I still think Myler has a lot to prove - Robinson looked like the next England No 7 when he first made his debut at the Pies, but he's been found wanting at the highest level.

| I don't know about anyone else but I am tired of all the hearsay about signi ng Myler. The Wigan fans forum, have thier own thread on the same subject, about signing Myler. I think we need to have a longer established scrum half in position with the view of bringing someone younger through with guidance. Someone said on here they know someone who knows someone, whose friends with someone of the salford board.....I mean its like chinese whispers.....
it also states on here we would be surprised by the new signing....no one would be surprised if it were Myler, so doesn't that rule him out. and that it supposed to be a winger.....I think its wise to leave the rumour mill alone and have faith in TS and those down at warrington to build a team at Warrington and it may not be one season either, it will take time
