| Replaced by Richard Marshall - good appointment that and two Warringtonian’s with Tyke now on board.

Didn’t realise Marshall was a Warringtonian, but happy with the appointment. To have another SL head coach in charge of the academy shows we are prepared to spend the money where it’s needed. I’d rather have 10 Thewlis’s come through than a year’s worth of a retired NRL star.

Now that's a very impressive acquisition in that role. He was very highly thought of at Saints.

I think he was already highly thought of when he was assistant here, and also when he took the top job at Halifax. Shame it ended the way it did at Salford but with them on the slide it wasn't going to be an easy gig.

I hear he wasn't a valued coach at Saints. A Salford mate suggests he was out of his depth there losing the players early on and his chances of another SL appointment were nil. Perhaps Academy coaching is where he belongs. Assume Powell is happy.

I wouldn't know enough about his assistant/head roles elsewhere, but as a team we did relatively well when he was assistant here. He also won us the academy grand final a good few years back, so I'm hopeful he'll continue the good work of Anderson. Certainly better than plumping for someone who is unproven.

| Absolutely delighted to welcome Richard Marshall back to the club and I can't wait to get started working with him once again. He was Head Coach of the Academy when I started there in December 2009!

Where did you hear that from? He was very popular with the players from what I've heard and was credited as the bridge that helped Woolf take over from Holbrook without any drop off, despite a massive shift in style. He was spoken about as a likely replacement for Woolf if he headed back to the NRL.

| I'm really pleased with Richard Marshall being appointed for this role. I liked Anderson being at the club, I don't think it's a coincidence that out youngsters looked better prepared for first team rugby than I can remember under his charge. I wish both of them well in their future roles.
