with anderson and gleeson both expected back for next week what changes do we expect to be made to the team?

Personally i thnik blythe deserves to keep his place at loose as his work rate was incredable for his first spell.
Gleeson will replace penny hopefully and push johnston on to the wing. but that leave one person to be dropped from last nights 17.

Inside knowledge, Gleeson wont be back for a month or so. If Reardon was fit next week he wouldn't make the 17 in my eyes after Riley's performance last night, he showed maturity and composure way beyond his years

I have to agree on Riley, the lad should be starting every game.

If Reardon was fit next week then I would stick him on the wing to help in get back into the swing of things for a few weeks before we throw him in at the deep end at full back again

Plus the way Riley played last night means he cannot be dropped, Top performance from the lad

As long as Riley continues as he played last night, then the fullback position should be his.

Johnson is no longer a back, and the sooner Gleeson returns and PJ can return to the pack/bench the better.

Penny has become many peoples scapegoat for inadequacies elsewhere, but I don't believe he deserves to be dropped.

Sadly although King is still failing to deliver, there are currently no better options at the club unless he is moved onto the wing. (I would love to give him a run outside Gleeson when he's back).

I've all but given up on believing Monas is actually a halfback. IMO he should be the starting hooker with Higham coming off the bench. Bridge and Briers should be the halfback combo. If he doesn't like going back to the hooking role then I'm sure a release could be negotiated from his contract leaving him free to go home and freeing up a chunk of cap to spend elsewhere.

Going by your question, you didn't go. Your location says Callands, so how do you get your running costs so far as £225 for Saints away?

The only change I'd expect to see is Vinnie Anderson back in the side, Blythe to the bench and then maybe Bridge to miss out. I don't know the reserves fixtures, but we could do with a couple quickly to really get some mileage into Bridge, it's atough ask to just pick up where you left off.

Even with the poor display King put in, I'd afford him a couple more games to put things right, but it's daft talk, as he won't get dropped full stop, right now, in my eyes he's candidate no#1 for the chop. We all know in reality that if there is to be a scapegoat then the likelyhood is that Lowes will select Penny, and to be honest, I'll find that really hard to swallow.

On the point about King, i agree he should get the chop if he continues to play so poorly. However Lowes will definatley select to drop Penny ahead of King.

Sadly, I think you may be right. I wouldn't be surprised to see that 17. I suspect that Gleeson may not be fit, so that gives you an issue at right centre, do you leave PJ there or rush Bridge back quicker than anticipated. He obviously isn't ready for this right now, but circumstance has thrust him back into the first team, and I suspect he would tell you that himself.

Aye pal, since Gleeson looks to be unavailable I think Lowes may choose to play Bridge rather than Penny now. I most definatley agree Bridge needs more time and should be played bit by bit, after such bad spell of injuries.

Exactly, the temptation is there to kind of 'be greedy' and solve a problem by getting him back into the 17. I think we should really avoid this to be honest, it wasn't too long ago that folk were intimating that one more injury would/should see Chris & his career continuing away from Warrington. As a club, we should look after him, and ensure that he only plays SL when he's ready. I'm sure the medical staff will assess him, advise him & Jimmy and they'll all make a decision but I'd hate for this to end in tears when it was avoidable.

I'm not writing Johnson off. Anyone with even a basic knowledge of RL can surely see he's too slow to play in the centres now. He's strong and runs the ball in hard, he should be in the second row or interchange with the forwards from the bench - centre, no way. Saints moved Gilmour from second row to centre and he skinned Johnson the first time he got a run at him.

Hasn't Bridge played on't wings before?

He played outside Toa in the back end of his first season (2005), we won pretty much all those games

I'm not saying we should play him there now, but with his fitness still short, surely it would be easier for him on the wing, than at 1/3/6?
