But is there a 'casual' interest lying dormant in deepest, darkest Salford, all ready to come bursting to life when the new stadium is ready and the team is assembled, in the same way there was in Warrington, when we were preparing to leave Wilderspool?
Yes, we were once in that same place that Salford currently are, but we always were fortunate that we were a rugby town, with people ready to jump on the bandwagon of a successful side.....I don't see Salford in a similar vein. They are a football town, with a culturally mixed population, which doesn't aid their Rugby club's ambitions.
