| Could this be part of some feeder club strategy that allows the Doctor total control. A dual registration with a difference where he can move even more squad players to Oldham more freely and allow Brian Noble to implement a uniform coaching structure for both clubs. This would allow more of our young players to gain even more experience with Oldham whilst getting a consistent standard of coaching that would make the transition much smoother from Oldham to Salford’s first team.

| The posibilities from this are endless, I would though if I were Scott Naylor be worried with the Doc's affection for Long.
Wonder if there's a loop hole he can exploit where over seas players are registered at one club and then loaned to the other? Billy Slater and Cooper Cronk to Oldham it is post World Cup

| Or is it all part of the Doctors plans to merge the two clubs if he can't get his hands on the SCS and the surrounding land? We both share a ground in Oldham with the Latics that he has built and rebrand as just the Red Devils, creating a Manchester based SL team? Similar to what the RFL tried at the start of Super League back in 1995!

| Maybe its the Docs way of exerting more pressure on the RFL in his long term goals of revamping the way SL is ran and financed in this country. He has already stated that he will not give up on one of his biggest priorities which is to change the salary cap system.
Or maybe its because he does love a challenge and Oldham will certainly give him that.
Or maybe its his way of letting the owners of SCS and the surrounding lands know that he could pull out of playing at the SCS and moving to Oldham where he would redevelop that stadium and surrounding land instead.

I really don't think mergers and dropping the Salford name is on the Doc's agenda going off his comments on twitter only a couple of days ago.

| The Doc is now using Twitter to wind the Hull & KR fans up.
This one is a cracker in answering a `Rervers` fan :-
`Doctors are clever. I am different VERY clever`

| I preferred these two replies;
1.
Disgruntled and weird looking Hull fan "what you smoking bro? I want some"
Marwan's reply "I smoke Silk Cut Purple".
2.
Another disgruntled and weird looking Hull fan "Silly man. Running before he can walk"
Marwan's reply "how did you know I could run before I could walk"

| Chris Sandow would be an absolutely pointless signing for us, we already have Chase, Smith and Theo.
The thought of both Chase and Sandow on the pitch at the same times is enough to give me nightmares, it would be a disaster.

| Must admit I can think of other areas of the squad I'd be looking to strengthen first. Extra prop, a centre with pace, interchange hooker, quality winger but another halfback??? Mind boggling!!
