| I think it's a bit early to say really. If we win this weekend and maybe get on a run of decent results, then who knows, we might reach that much talked about 8k. If we don't, then I doubt they'll be much better than at the Willows. I reckon we'll average around 6000 overall. The Hull game in a few weeks will give us a better idea though, the game against Cas wasn't much to go off at all.

| Building a crowd will take time as long as our attendances are higher than last season in my eyes its a success, will depend on how we perform in the coming weeks we get a run together and are competative who know how much we can pull in

No, unless you work damn hard to make it happen, the ' build it and they will come ' was a film, not reality, hard work and vision, lack of fear and leaps of faith, will get you there, sitting on your hands ' muttering ' to yourself, wont

| Predicting 8k average is a huge ask considering current standings. The usual top 5 away support is the only upsurge of attendance we can expect to increase on our averages i'm afraid. 6.5k average for the season

| Looking back in hindesight. If we had won the Cas and saints games on t.v which looking back we COULD of. And then follow that up with a win at Widnes this weekend, i reckon 8k the following home game was a shoe in. All if's, buts, maybes and video ref's i know but it shows it's all possible with winning. I agree with the beast from weaste 6-7k average......

| Although 8k has been quoted as a breakeven figure, I'd more than happy with 6k. It's a step in the right direction at least.

| Very well put by Starbug.
I'd be surprised if we get there, certainly this year, but the oft quoted figure of the bounce other clubs have had (inc other sports) is about 40%, so if we averaged 4500 last year, that bounce would take us to 6300 this year - a step in the right direction.
The club have done reasonably well in attracting new people to game but has struggled to keep them. The Willows has been blamed for this (and I know people who certainly felt that way), but poor on field displays have also been a significant factor.
This year will depend on two things: 1, how we're going to market the other games (or did all our eggs go in the basket of marketing game 1?) 2, how we perform in home games - both in terms of wins and entertainment.

I think we've concluded that it's been misquoted.

| By all reports Fridays Sky audience for the Saints Salford game was a near record ,
they will have witnessed the true Jekyll & Hyde nature of Salford , any fans in the Mcr area interested in Rugby League are still more likely to head to Langtree Park , the Halliwell Jones or DW Stadium , than Barton.
Dantes has it right, if we were to be heading to the 2nd home game against Hull on the back of two good wins against Cas & Widnes and a creditable near loss against Saints a big crowd would be guaranteed, we going to the Halton Stadium on the back of two losses with key squad members already on the side lines ,
we need momentum and effective marketing and we are struggling for both.
I still can't see where the additional 3000 are going to materialise from at present.
8,000 was the target figure to enable the club to spend towards the higher end of the salary cap and has quickly turned in to one of the most mis-quoted statistics ever , it's 8000 to compete with the best , 8000 to break even , 8000 to "survive" now on the BBC ...
