| Hi Reds fans,
I have been watching a couple of Reds u20 games on dvd lately and one player who has stood out as a fantastic prospect is Toby Adamson, i don't know too much about him although i know he is Luke's brother but he looks a better player imo.
Very quick for a backrower and fairly agile as well, definitely the most impressive youngster in the u/20's so it wil be interesting if he gets a chance in SL in the next couple of seasons.
Does anyone know how old he is and if he is now contracted to the Reds ?

| He played in our second game against Huddersfield, not to sure if he played another game but I think he played 2 in the first team? To be honest he does look like a good prospect, but he needs to learn a lot more, and get more game time in the first team to do that, but he shouldn't be rushed, we should take it slow with him. We also have Gareth Owen who looks like in 10 years time he could be a quality hooker, and the likes of Sneyd and Spencer.

I don't think the club can afford to wait 10 years! Usually if players aren't playing on a fairly regular basis in the first team by 20-21 they don't usually make it at Superleague level. Maybe a prop forward is an exception to this rule?

| sneyd and adamson will be the ones to do well, dont really rate any of the others, i think owen is to small and spencer is pretty useless, just dont rate the lad doesnt even do anything in the academy games never mind the first team.
I would say Palfrey was a good one but been told he has left and gone to swinton.

| One thing that impressed me with T Adamson at Huddersfield was that he showed that he learns from experiences. He had the ball stolen from him 1 on 1 fairly early after coming on and that's the sort of thing that can really knock the confidence of a debutant, but Toby got his own back later in the game, stripping the ball from a much more experienced player.

I sort of ment in 10 years time he could of made his mark as a quality hooker, I think it will all pan out on how well he's doing in about 2 years.

Toby has really impressed me this season in the U20's.
Was actually at Huddersfield when he made his debut, thought he hit some good lines and was a bit unlucky with that ball steal, as he looked to Tierry Albert to see if he was calling 'held'. But as 'Iain' rightly points out he went up the other end and got his own back with a one on one ball steal off none other than Brett Hodgson, probably one of the most experienced players on the pitch................ Good for you Toby

No, Andy Gregory was short. Owen is small.
Greg was also a half back, Owen is a hooker.

| I think young Adamson would be a good shout for the future as long as he learns to ignore the comments from our supporters. Some of the abuse hurled towards him at Hudds was well out of order. Either they were to drunk to realise that it was actually the younger Adamson and the elder one was sat just a few rows away from us. Or the old adage we hear so much on here " play the younger guys rather than the usual lack lustre bag of e" was blown out of the water as it was clear that some people didn't care how young or raw they are and will slag them off anyway unless they play like a GB international straight from the off.
