Must admit I can think of other areas of the squad I'd be looking to strengthen first. Extra prop, a centre with pace, interchange hooker, quality winger but another halfback??? Mind boggling!!

The good Doctor needs to talk to the previous Chairman Bill Quinn about his time there before committing himself to buying Oldham RLFC. Will he be paying off the alledged debts, which anyone can find on the Internet. Will he be buying Whitebank which is owned by Oldham Council and another party and rented back to ORLFC?. Buying Oldham Athletic is a great idea but I wouldnt touch the Rugby with a barge pole. And Dr M, good luck in seeing the books. Many have tried and failed.
