i thought Goulding had a very good game yesterday man of the match by a country mile, also ratchford had a good game these 2 did nothing wrong all game.

why did mcrea leave smith on for 5 mins when he could hardly run its stupid he should ahve got taken off stright away and why put turner there when we had ratchford on the pitch, turner played good there but that is ratchford position.

gongrats to goulding on his first try on his debut game at the willows. well done you played an great game.

Would just like to say, "Littler had a good couple seasons about three or four years ago. On the other hand a great/loyal servant he might have been, but he's had his day and when Talau comes back he definitely needs to go!!!" Wouldn't even say he is our fourth best centre anymore.

P.s. Not seen Goulding play for us yet as I am currently In New Zealand and have become e temporary fan of the warriors. We should have signed Stacey Jones in the close season, he's still doing the business for the warriors.

I've always thought Goudling may settle into the wing position because of that reason. He tend to be quite a gready player but is a very good finisher and reminds me alot of another Wigan youngster thats make that positional move in Martin Aspinwall(but i rate Goudling higher).

Glad to see him have a good game on Saturday and would imagine he'll defo stay on at Salford for at least another month or 2.

The biggest difference between Goulding and Aspinwall is attitude. Goulding has a superb attitude to the game and is a very good trainer.

He does have flaws in his game, his reading defensively and his decision makeing with regard to passing of the ball.

Hopefully playing at Superleague level continually will help him, but he has played more than 50 times for Wigan at that level which is a bit of a concern.

I saw Goulding play against our reserves last month and he absolutely murdered us. He scored at least a couple himself and set up a couple up for Roberts. He certainly wasnt greedy in that game and in fact looked skilfull with the ball in hand.

I work with a Wigan fan who has a lot of connections with the club and he rates him very highly and think that he has been treated very badly by the club. He also tells me that Wigan wont let Goulding leave permanently because they still see him as their future centre and that the club have refused transfer bids for him. However Goulding did want to go but the club wouldnt let him and hence he came to Salford on loan. Apparently that is why there was a delay in the loan going through because Goulding didnt want a loan, he wanted out completely. Shaun McRae also rates him highly and has praised him after both games.

From what I have read he has always played for England at underage level and has played over 50 times for Wigan and has only just turned 21. He certainly hasnt looked bad whenever I have seen him play and I remember watching him against Leeds last year when I thought that he was very impressive. That doesnt sound like a poor player to me.
