So, each club can have 2 marquee players under the new ruling, but how many does each club actually have now?

I understand that Sam Tomkins could be a marquee player, but who else? I can't find a list anywhere.

Does anyone have any ideas?

AFAIK Samkins is the only one.

According to Sadler there is only one this season (so far), Tomkins.

Last year there were four. My guesses would be Tomkins, Pritchard, Sandow and one of the Catalan aussies (Carney/Taylor).

Ah - yes Chris Sandow. I sometimes wonder if Kevin Brown replaced Sandow as their marquee player for this year. That could be the answer to the question everyone is asking - What has happened to Warrington ?

If very few clubs have made a marquee signing, in fact hardly any, what's the point of doubling the number to 2?

Interestingly, Koucash did lots of jumping up and down to get this ruling - why haven't Salford signed one?

George Williams could become one, if NRL clubs are interested in signing him and Wigan want to keep him.

It's also worth noting clubs with a Marquee player this year will use up 8.3% of their salary cap on that player. After the increase to £2.1M this will fall to 7.1% of the cap or 3.6% if they are a club trained player.
