Heighington gets whacked high by Scott Logan, incident is penalised and Logan put on report. Tigers are allowed to replace Heighington without it counting on their 12 interchanges.
First instance of this I;ve ever seen. Does this rule apply over here?

Yeah if a player is injured as a result of foul play which incurs a sinbin, dismissal or on report then it counts as a free interchange but it has to be made immediately

Sounds sensible. I'm assuming that this would also over rule the blood bin rule if the hurt player was also bleeding? |

Well yeah it would as a blood bin is basically just an instruction to leave the pitch to get treated, its up to the club to sub him or not (knowing it counts towards the 12), but if its as a result of an on report, yellow or red card incident then its a free interchange
