| If they England or GT Britain ever won a tri nations series or the World Cup.I know you poms haven't had the treat of winning either for for a long time. But your time is coming ,maybe 2013.Or the tri nations this year.
Just look at the Kiwis by them winning the World Cup last year the game has taken a new level. The fact that the Warriors had 30,000 for two trial games is amazing. With the other code struggling to get 10,000.

How is our time coming, exactly?
I am 30 and the Aussies have licked us by and large for my entire lifetime. There is no signal that is about to change.
This has been debated over and over, but until teams give promising youngsters a chance - for example look at Saints 19 man squad which has 16 out of 19 British players - we are screwed.
not so lon ago Wigan was supplying star players in the backs for GB. Lydon, Gregory, Robinson, Connolly, Edwards etc. Granted not all were raised by the club, but they were British. Look at their backline now. not one GB player as a first choice.
Of course it is not always as easy as that. The clubs need strong links with junior level rugby and the relationship with the BARLA clubs has always been terse.
Clubs are moving in the right direction in terms of hwo they are running their 'business,' but they need to get the development strategy right.

Number 2's rather dependant on whether or not you believe there was ever a first coming.

Transparent Backgrounds/Waldorf.gif "As you travel through life don't sweat the petty things and don't pet the sweaty things" - George Carlin

This week: Four keys to a Rhinos win in the WCC:Transparent Backgrounds/Waldorf.gif |

| What would it mean for the game over here?
Probably f*ck all - certainly nothing on the scale that accompanied the England World Cup win of 2003 or run to the final in 2007.
There would be a short-lived rise in publicity and recognition which would tail off again once the Six Nations and the business end of the football season came around.
