| That’s the figure for all league games under the RFL umbrella. A total of 550 games over that season over 3 divisions. That would result in an average of 2545.
This is compared to 1.4m people going to watch 175 SL games.

Source of your 1993 figures?
Comparing SL attendances with the past and incorporating attendances from all lower division fixtures at places like Nottingham, Blackpool Gladiators, Carlisle, Chorley Borough and Runcorn Highfield in order to arrive at an average attendance figure, and to then compare it unfavourably to current Super League attendances just about sums you up along with your desperate agenda

The source is the LIRC.
The figure includes those attendances. Only a spreadsheet attention whore pushing their agenda would want us to pretend that it didn’t. All so they didn’t have to admit that the game now, is far better attended than it was.
If it bothers you so much, you could find the cumulative attendances for the Championship and Championship 1. That would give us a much better comparison wouldn’t it? The entire league attendances for all leagues?

Pssst! Your hero Richard Lewis has thankfully buggered off and walked away from the licensed, sponsor-less heap that he's landed the sport in... that's his failed legacy, so you are now free to just let it all go as well if you like?
[i"The modern game's attitude towards it's history has been quite regrettable in the Super League era and this is something that has perhaps impacted upon it's commercial performance and media exposure. Super League barely recognises the greats of yesteryear, whereas the NRL actively markets it's game, especially State of Origin, around it's past... Sadly, the principal marketing strategy of Super League and summer rugby appears to have been... 'The game used to be crap, now it's great'[/i... Richard de la Riviere (Rugby League - A Critical History 1980-2013).

I prefer to establish as close as is possible a like-for-like comparison with regard to attendance figures. Clearly, you prefer to fudge the figures by comparing all attendances in all divisions during the alleged murky, boggy, muddy, pot-bellied, pit-villaged, black & white, cobbled street past with just the super modern Super League attendances in order to suit your failed ideological agenda.

I didn’t include competitions which don’t exist, or tours which aren’t scheduled this year. Do you want a like for like comparison? We can compare the amount of people who attended an international game in 1993 and the amount who will attend this year if you want?
More people attended the last CC final than the one in 1993, and im sure more will attend this years aswell.
I know it hurts and upsets you, but it really isn’t my fault that more people attend RL now than did 20 years ago. I know how you wish it weren’t true, and how you have built this persona around how right you believed you were, and I know you are going to have to go to all that effort of thinking up another hilarious play on words as your name, but all that hurt and frustration deep inside doesn’t alter the facts.

He might be on the BRADFORD, LONDON or WAKEFIELD boards waiting to collect
Bradford down or about 3,000, St Helens were down 1,000 whilst Wigan were 5,300 down = 9,300
Widnes were up about 400, Castleford up 1,000, Hudds up 2,200, Leeds up 2,400 =6,000
Last REGULAR home game of the season for Widnes, Castleford, Leeds and Huddersfield which would explain the rises, whilst Bradford aren't celebrating a new owner and the fans of St Helens, Wire, Hull and Wigan may be saving up for Play-off expenditure which isn't covered in their ST's.
Next week
Wigan Leeds = both cemented in the top 4 already. Winner goes to Wire, loser goes to Hudds.(15,370)
Hull St's = winner hosts HKR, loser hosts/visits Catalan (11,727)
Salford Widnes = dead rubber (5,196)
Catalan Wire = Catalan playing for home advantage (11,500)
Bradford Hudds = dead rubber/local derby(11,182)
KR London = KR Cemented in 8th...nothing to play for. (6,713)
Wakey Castleford dead rubber/local derby (7,050)

I'm afraid they didn't go up overall, despite it being "last home game of the season" for several clubs which are traditionally among the better attended fixtures throughout a season. Not even last home game bumper attendances at Leeds V Catalan (17% up on Leeds V Catalan last year), Hudds V Wakey (33% up on Hudds V Wakey last year), Cas V Salford (40% up on Cas V Salford last year) or Widnes V Hull KR (7% up on Widnes V Hull KR last year) could prevent Round 26 from being over 3% down on last year. Round 26 should have bucked the trend but alas... it failed miserably.
I shall post the full stats for Round 26 in due course. However, please allow me to express my gratitude for your continued interest and loyal support for this wonderful and informative thread. Nowhere else have SL attendances in 2013 been discussed with such enthusiasm, purpose and veracity. In fact, nowhere else have SL attendances in 2013 been discussed at all

| During the current franchised, 14 club, top 8 play-off system SL era... the total attendances in SL to date remain the lowest we have ever witnessed. Neither the replacement of the poorly-supported Crusaders with the better-supported Widnes, nor the establishment of 2 new stadia, nor the re-establishment of heavily-discounted SL tickets via cheap Groupon/BOGOF/Buddy offers, nor the latest begging-bowl grab free shirts and discounts on season tickets next year if you pay a tenner to watch Bradford V London then we might pay the players on time and avoid the next winding-up order, nor the best whoop-de-doo sizzling summer we've had since 2006 has prevented 2013 SL attendances from being the worst on record so far.

This is what is required from the Wakefield V Castleford attendance this weekend which will ensure that Wakefield's home attendances in 2013 are a table-topping 1.68% up on last season.
Wakefield V Castleford in 2013 = 10,786
Wakefield V Castleford in 2012 = 9,786
% increase = +10.22%

Well at least your attendance competition is going down to the wire, unlike the real thing .
However, I don’t think a dead rubber, albeit a derby game, will attract the numbers needed to propel Wakefield to the top.
Well done to Leeds though, I wonder if they will get an increase next season if they fail to win the G.F?

I'd expect Leeds home attendances to drop significantly next season if they fail to win the Grand Final. The bandwagoners will jump off faster than they climbed aboard. Leeds can thank Wakey fans for turning up to Headingley in huge numbers in Round 22 for an attendance of 18,387 which was a whopping 49.83% up on the 12,272 attendance for the same fixture in 2012.
The less said about the 9,044 attendance for the play-off fixture last season the better!
