If very few clubs have made a marquee signing, in fact hardly any, what's the point of doubling the number to 2?
Interestingly, Koucash did lots of jumping up and down to get this ruling - why haven't Salford signed one?

George Williams could become one, if NRL clubs are interested in signing him and Wigan want to keep him.
It's also worth noting clubs with a Marquee player this year will use up 8.3% of their salary cap on that player. After the increase to £2.1M this will fall to 7.1% of the cap or 3.6% if they are a club trained player.
