| What are your thoughts on the video referee?
Generally I am in favour of scrapping it and getting on with the game.
Time after time since 1996 we have seen mistakes by the video ref, and even more instances which even with multiple angles are 50-50 at best which no-one can agree on and make me more angry because we waste 2-3 minutes watching repetitive replays. So why not trust the referee on the pitch to referee it as he sees it, if a video referee is not 100% successful when he can see it numerous times from numerous angles at numerous speeds (and we all have to watch him watch it)?
My main gripe with it is it is incredibly boring. Boring at the ground, boring on tv. After this world cup if I never hear 'Right Here Right Now' by Fatboy Slim again I'll be a happy man.
Anyone know the proportion of tries in the world cup (or domestic leagues?) sent to the video ref?
What are your thoughts?

| I agree, it's annoying and intrusive and if it is such a great innovation then it should be available at every game. I'm aware of the argument that it would cost too much to implement but we're happy for the majority of decisions to be made by the on field official and so it should be for all games.
Your point about wrong decisions even with video assistance is perhaps the most valid; it's an embarrassment and quite frankly inexcusable. The referee on the pitch makes mistakes, undoubtedly, but that is understandable given the pressure he is under and I am the first to admit that I could never match their performance (though I reserve the right to continue to hurl abuse in their direction in the heat of the moment).
For me, the length of time taken is the most irritating factor. I was at the game that saw Jamie Peacock's rlworld recordrl video referee decision and to this day I still don't know how you can deliberate for over five minutes and not come up with a benefit of the doubt decision.
One solution might be for the clowns in the Sky box to stop replaying every incident and accept that referees are human and generally good at their job.
