| Thought we had a real chance there but couldn't deal with their kicking game.
Thought Hkr won deservedly but the score flattered them somewhat.

| Score line not reflective of the game. Add Blythe, Mullaney, Purtell, Siejka, Williams, Davies/Lauaki/Tahrahori to our side, we're much stronger.
Massively unlucky wih some of the calls. The two totally different calls for a head injuries are what infuriate fans. The ball steal looked two on one to me and the fight was farcical. How he got a yellow each from that was laughable.
Very proud of the team and we have NOTHING to fear come the split. Improve on a few things that are the difference at this level and we'll be ok.
Thought Sidlow and O'brien were outstanding and I though Walker had his best game in a bulls shirt.
While the result is gutting I think we can be really positive going forward. This team hasn't reached it's peak and has plenty of bodies to come back.

Right, here we go:
I don't often bag referees, because I appreciate they have a tough job to do, but I'm struggling with the logic and thought processes of the ref today surrounding the Adam Walker punch.
Walker has hit his marker square in the jaw with a closed fist. How can that be anything other than a red card? Fair enough to bin Sidlow for running in and making the situation worse, but to only give Walker a yellow for that really had me scratching my head. Would it have changed the final result? Who knows, but that was an incorrect decision in my opinion.
I thought we played really well today and the boys can be proud. Throw Mullaney, Purtell and a fourth prop in there and we might have come away with the win.
However, to be winning 30-28 with 15 minutes to go and then end up losing 50-30 is not acceptable. Paul Clough should have caught that kick off. He messed up and he knew it straight away. Mantellato scores from the drop out (albeit from a forward pass).
Then Ryan Shaw let a bomb bounce which he should have caught, and Rovers score from that mistake as well.
The Larroyer try was 50/50 regarding the ball steal, no real complaints, I guess Addy should have kept a tighter grip.
The last try ended up making the scoreline a little flattering I think.
Being fair I don't think Walshaw's try should have stood either. I think Addy fumbled the ball when it was bouncing around his feet.
I feared the worst when we named Chev at centre but he actually did ok. Put a few big hits in and ran hard all game.
Final thought, Adam O' Brien is one hell of a tough little player.

| I thought Hull KR did enough to deserve the victory if you ignore the fairly clear cut red card that the officials ducked out of issuing. They're a good SL side (who I doubt we'll meet in the middle 8.), so to see our lads match them for the majority of the game despite a bit of a patched up side is pleasing.
I think Lowes will be disappointed with the lack of kick pressure that allowed Hull KR to score a few of their tries but overall I think he'll be pleased with the effort from his men. Today was always about the performance as far as I was concerned and I think we played our part in a pretty entertaining game. The score line probably flattered KR in the end but we can take plenty of positives from this match. For some of the players out there it was their first taste of SL opposition and they stood up well.

| A few things to work on, but nothing really major.
The ref allowing play on while KR were attacking with a Bradford player down injured whilst earlier in the match halting a Bradford attack so an injured KR player could be treated was just one of the questionable calls of the afternoon.
But all in all, even missing a number of our top players we still put 30 points past a SL side. We battled to the final whistle and looked good doing it even if the final score flattered KR.

| Just to clear that up, the ref stopped play when two Rovers players clashed heads. I don't think Baile's was a head injury, which is why play wasn't stopped.

Not sure what his injury was but he was flat out and not moving when he allowed play to go on. Not sure what your viewpoint was re the Shaw bomb but it was caught by the wind Usain Bolt would have done well to get under that.

| We didn't give our wingers much protection in order to take those bombs - something else to work on.
That try by Addy from super play from Fleming and Mellor was something else.

Yeah it did get caught by the wind, but he actually got close enough to catch it imo, but then backed out at the last second. They'll give him plenty of bomb catching practice in training now and get his confidence up, I'm happy for Shaw to keep his place at fullback and get Mullaney in at seven and Addy back at loose.

| I was surprised how well we did for 65 minutes and I think we put down a marker there. The ball in the air caused us a few too many problems with what was a bit more breeze than I had realised. I think Purtell and Mullaney would have made a big difference and possibly Williams. I doubt changing the forwards would have changed much.I doubt you'll see a clearer red than the punch on O'brien. ...... presumably it was retaliation for something as it came out of nothing obvious. I'm more disappointed than I thought I would be but very heartened by the performance.

| I think the missing players argument works both ways however as we only had 1 out and out prop from the start in walker, and were missing green, allgood, Maurice Blair and darrell Goulding who would all be in the 17.
Regardless, I thought you guys looked really good. Quick ptb's and went with width early on. Adam o'brien looks a player, and sidlow did well. Just a little bit of quality from us made the difference. You kept campese very quiet which most teams struggled to do. I enjoyed the game, and you guys should look forward to a pretty successful season

The result shows you were better. Maybe a bit more composure than us at important points. The margin doesn't really matter in the cup but the last 15 mind were not expected. It's what we've being doing to teams all season.

| Delighted with performance if not result. Don't think we've anytthing to fear in middle eights. Walker should have seen red and that would have changed game. Thought ball steal on addy was pretty clearcut and ref got it wrong. Also blatant forward pass for one of their tries. Score line flattered rovers massively in end.
