| Wow what an evening enjoyed by all, at an sweltering and tropical Post Office Road.
Stuart Barrow's young Bulls performed admirably, and played their part in keeping the 736 crowd enthralled, showing some clinical robustness on the Power Play attempts.
The results:
Featherstone 12-22 Bradford
Leeds 18-8 Huddersfield
Featherstone 18-26 Leeds
Bradford 22-8 Huddersfield
Bradford 8-12 Leeds
Featherstone 22-18 Huddersfield
The commentary team gave the MOTN to Leeds number Six - Stevie Ward.
Callum Windley was the standout for Bradford playing at Nine. The future distribution around the ruck is safe with O'Brien & Windley, coming off the Odsal conveyor belt.
Headingley next week. BOOOOOOOM!!

| Fev were very unlucky to lose their games against Leeds and Bradford too. They were the best team in both games but conceded 2 late tries in each. For Leeds, Ward controlled everything and looked a threat each time he touched the ball. For the Bulls I was very impressed with the 11, but I forget his name now. Deville I think it was. Mick will have the team sheets though. Windley was the best Bulls player though and I cant wait to see this kid in action again.

| Liam Darville - Remember the name. Scored Two fantastic tries in the 22-8 defeat of Huddersfield.
Against Featherstone it was 12-12, until up popped Kyle Williamson with Two late Power Play Tries (the PPT is worth Four on top of the Four points for the try, so Eight in total if the PPT is successful).
Bradford actually had the ascendancy in the top of the night clash against Leeds - leading upto Half Time (leading 8-4), courtesy of tries to Cain Southernwood & Emmerson White.
Special mentions also to Curtis Naughton - workhorse in defence. Reminds me of a young Robbie Paul. Possess an devastating sidestep and efficient & effective with the boot. Only negative being poor positional play for the Leeds winning try with 40 seconds left.
Jay Rossi for numerous tackles on the fringes, one in particular on at full flight Luke Briscoe during the Leeds game.
Jack Cockerham who offered real resilience up front, not afraid to get physical as his hit up on Chris Clarkson showed. Scored the opener in the defeat of Featherstone.
Good to see Brian McDermott, James Lowes and Nathan Brown in attendance.
They'll have certainly been warmed by Stuart Barrow's young Bulls.

Just my opinion - he's certainly muscled out, and has improved his physical strength (he scored try against Leeds by literally powering his way over through the Rhinos defensive line).
His partnership with Jordan at Six looked promising. Some good interlinking intricate ball distribution.

Well that's encouraging. I noticed he was getting picked at 7 for Dewsbury and he certainly looked bigger in this seasons squad photos. He's only 20 so there's still time.

He's certainly competent at Championship level, that I do agree with.
Unfortunately I compare Cain Southernwood to James Donaldson, in that frequent lengthy injuries have somewhat curtailed his development.
Hopefully over the coming weeks, he takes his chance to impress the backroom staff at Odsal, by performing in the Rugby League Nines.
On a side note - Why have the RFL scheduled in the Odsal Nines to be in direct competition with the England Euro 2012 game?

| Some other information about the nights events:-
Jordan Aitchison won the sprint challenge (after having just played against Huddersfield, then played back to back against Leeds)
Of the 13 squad, 5 were U18s and 2 were U17s, and at the other end only 2 players with first team experience (Cain Southernwood & Callum Windley). The other squads had more players with 1st team experience and fewer youngsters
We lost the availibility of Sam Wood in the first minute of the first game after he received a "welcome to Post Office Road" that rendered him unable to play again. He would have revelled in the open spaces of this format if he had been able to continue, and I am sure would have increased the try count.
There was not a weak link - ALL who played deserve praise
The Squad was: Curtis Naughton, Kane Feltham-Stout, Sam Wood, Jarrod Ward, Jay Rossi, Jordan Aitchinson, Cain Southernwood, Jack Cockerham, Calllum Windley, Liam Darville, Kyle Williamson, George Marchant, Emmerson Whittle
