Confirmed in the t&a this morning.

Signed a deal until the end of next season. Will be in the squad for the Hull KR game.

Not a bad signing. It says we tried to sign him earlier in the season.

I was initially disappointed with the signing but now I know that he is coming off the overseas quota I'm quite pleased. He's not a bad player but I wouldn't like to think that he was taking one of the valuable quota spots next year. Being 30 doesn't really mean that he stands in the way of the youngsters who still have some development to do.

I see Jeffries as our scrum half with Herbert moving to stand off. That has a better shape than any combinations we currently have at the club.

Not impressed by this.

When he was here before he was anonymous in many games and failed to impose himself in the way that we are crying out for from a half back. so why is he suddenly going to bring something to the table now?

That said, I will get behind the guy, and hope to be proved wrong....

It's not a bad signing in our current position. There are no options around at this moment in time. At least in re-signing Jefferies he knows Super League and knows the club. Fingers crossed with a better coach he'll go better than last time.

He's a better scrum half than anything we currently have at the moment. He obviously wouldn't be at the top of any of our shopping lists but who else is available? Coming off the quota also means that it wouldn't be a waste to have him as back up cover if better comes along. Makes sense all round to me.

To the end of this year I can see the logic. To sign for next year too has me worried about next year already.

Saints sign Hohai, we get Jeffries.

Says it all about our finances and reputation at the minute

As I said, who's to say we won't sign a world class half back should one come along and have Jeffries as cover. He'd be ideal cover as can play either halfback position. We do still need cover in the halves don't we? That's what everyone's constantly banging on about anyway.

Maybe we will, maybe we won't.

Jeffries, Briggs, Southernwood all contracted for next season. Add another into that and we've got 4. That's also without us offering Herbert a longer stay, which could happen. (Oh, and Sykes).

If for arguments sake we signed "Leon" next year, we'll still have problems at half as although Leon has improved his game in regards to moving a team around, he's still very much someone who plays off the back of others making space.

A potential Jeffries and Leon partnership next year, although better than our current pairings is not going to get us the answers we need.

The phrase politically correct is in itself politcally incorrect so should be rephrased politically stupid! If you like old type radio comedy/ dramas etc listen to //pumpkinfm.com/ Statistically speaking you have a better chance of getting dead the older you get! Thank god only when you find a religion that passes the truth test!:13554.jpg

I notice the Wakey fans aren't bothered by him coming here, just confirms what we already know, that he has the talent but lacks the application, still thats what could be said of the Bulls at present so he will fit right in, I'm sort of underwhelmed by this lets hope he proves us wrong for a change!

Not a bad signing by any means, he will bring a lot more experience to our play and reading Connor's article it sounds more like Herbert will be the one to miss out.

My first thoughts too.

However, now under a different coach so prepared to wait and see.

Does give many more options than we had and experience that hopefully he can share with Briggs, Southernwood etc to aid thier development.

Although he is a decent player i can't see jeffries being the answer to your problems. On his day he can be very good but he doesn't have enough of these days because he is just too inconsistent.
