Why does it matter seriously? i know the jokes are a bit harsh, but ryan bailey is no different to any other person!

He is an established first team player for Leeds Rhinos. He's in the public eye and should behave appropriately. Just because some other idiots are writing jokes about Japan, it doesn't mean Bailey should repeat them.

Bailey acting like he has reflects not only on himself but his employers who will take a dim view of what he has done.

The thing is though he is diffferent. Would you feel the same way if it was a member of Parliament; a Judge or Police Chief?
Ryan Bailey is in the public eye and represents Leeds Rhiono's and therefore has a duty to be more professional than he has been in this instance. I'm not advocating his execution or anything like that, just stating that he's been a stupid and should be punished accordingly.

Happens even for people not in the public eye.

Absolutely stupid that is the case and you can't say what you want, but that's just the way it is. Anyone in the public eye should know better.

I'm sure he'll get no more than a slap on the wrist for it anyway. And he deserves no more than that, even if it was a little dim.

If he's done that it's a bit dim but a public apology and a donation to an appropriate charity would seem to be the right response.

Ryan Bailey is a scumbag anyway, so this sort of stuff from him does not suprise me in the slightest!

But you can say what you want, however crass. Nobody stopped him. It's just that when you do, you should have regard to the possible consequences of what you choose to say.
