| I'm talking about Michael Platt's 75th minute effort that involved the break by Herbert (who IMO looks better than Dobson) to the offload to Southernwood who then kicked it 20m outwide to Crookes who then passed on the inside to Platt who beat Greenwood to score.
Amazing try and one of the best I've ever seen at Odsal, great stuff.

| Was a quality try.
Bit early to say that about Herbert, but he did have an excellent game.

| Thought L'Estranges second was as good, tbh. Herbert shoving off the defence and a sly pass to Heath.

That was great work by Herbert, lets hope he can keep going like that.

| Let's not forget the nice little set move close to the line for Royston's score. I enjoy those scores more than some of the off the cuff type scores quite often. A move that has been practised in training and then executed perfectly on game day.

| Hard to argue with any of the above - although its still early days to put anyone on a pedestal.
Been a while since I've seen a few tries that I really enjoyed at Odsal. The trick now is to repeat the business against SL opposition...

Agree 100% although all this talk from the Rhinos supporters of it's only Halifax is a load rubbish.
Halifax won the grand final last year and for 40 minutes gave us a game.

| I was quite impressed with Halifax, to be honest - especially in the first half before they tired. Would be worth seeing more of them.

| Another aspect of the game today is that between them, Addy and Herbert forced five GLDO's
The kicking game from both was superb.

| That wasn't the Halifax side that won the Championship. Missing were Royston, Worrincy, Nash, Brannighan, Holroyd, Beswick, Ostick, Tamghart, Larder, Wrench, and that's only the ones I remember.
Could be a tough(ish) year for Fax. Need to get all their contract disputes sorted and maybe a couple of lads on loan maybe???
Some good tries but don't get too excited yet. Tries scored at the end were when part-time players in pre-season, met already fitter, technically superior full-time players.
Definitely promising though

Lets get a couple sent there then!
Crookes, Crossley & Olbison are a few i'd like to see go out on loan and see how they cope with championship rugby.

Potter said a few might go out in the webchat he did with the T&A. Certainly have a few youngsters who might benefit

plenty of changes to the fax side from championship winning side, now having to build a new team with plenty of new signings on show today.
