| Let me preface this by assuring everyone that I've been a life long St Helens hater. Right from the days of Les Jones, Roy Matthias and Kel Coslett leading St Helens to huge wins over Northern, I've hated them with a passion. I've always seen them as the cocky upstart small town team, with arrogant players and fickle supporters who only create a good atmosphere when the team are 15-20 points up.
And don't even get me started on the whole Millward / Long era....
But, somehow, I find myself becoming a temporary St Helens 'supporter'. Why? Because I quite fancy the idea of the Grand Final Winning coach sitting behind the desk at Odsal. Since I have no love for Leeds, Huddersfield or Wigan, it seems quite reasonable to be backing Saints for glory
Am I alone in quite liking the idea of Mick Potter holding up the Superleague trophy on Oct 3rd, going into Knowsley Road the next day to clear his desk, and then walking into Odsal on the Monday to start pre-season
Is this reasonable, or do I need help

| Not at all.
Your arguments are irrefutable.

| Come on, there is a very slim chance of an all Yorkshire final - wouldn't it be great if that happened?

What with 200 Giants away supporters? Not really..

| As long as it isn't a Saints Leeds final again I'm really not bothered.
But in an ideal world, Saints and Wigan will get to Old Trafford, put on one of the most intense finals and derby matches in recent history, and Mick Potter will leave St Helens as a GF winning coach (and continue the trend the following season!)

| Sorry, but I'll have to buck the trend here.
I fully agree with Nothus that the last thing I want to see is another Saints/Leeds final. I've been to the last 9 finals on the trot and already have my tickets for this year's, and would really like to see a different game this season.
The teams I'm supporting are in the simple order:
Huddersfield
Wigan
Saints
If it is a Saints/Leeds final, I'll want Saints to win (unlike previous years, when I couldn't care less), but I'd rather Huddersfield or Wigan got there.

That's the only reason I'm kind of weary about them winning it. Knowing what they got like just because they got to a final and finished above us, I dread to think what someone of them would turn into if they were actually champions.

| I'm hoping for a Saints win. It would be great for Mick to come here as the championship winning coach.

| Don't forget he's bringing Hargreaves with him. A championship winning coach and a championship winning prop. That adds further improvement to our recruitment for 2011

| He's not the Saints coach. He has just been on temporary secondment before coming home.

Does this mean you'll continue to lend your support to the Yorkshire teams?
