| it also says that they have already sold 20000 tickets for the derby and hope the signing of gleeson will give them a sell out,
which got me thinking if we made a bid for leon pryce for say 150000 i think the fans would come out in numbers to see our leon back
so we currently get 13000 attendance or there about add 12000 to that for our sell out and the extra tickets would pay for the transfer fee as the extra tickets 12000x18=216000
or is this just wishfull thinking

| A big drain on wages & a bad influence (possibly) out from Wire & £100k & a potential great player (who has lost all confidence) in. Looks like Wire are the winners to me.

I'd agree, looks like Smith is progressing the clear out and doing some decent business in the process.

Anyone who saw a young Richie Mathers destroying the Aussies from SO will know there is a rare talent in there. It will be a tragic waste if it never materialises.

I saw it too. And he did look excellent. (I also seem to remember watching him playing for a Super League Academy team against a National League team at Leigh, and looking equally impressive). Since he broke into the team at Leeds though, he's been incredibly over-rated.
Perhaps a move back to Stand Off would bring his promise back out.

If I win the lottery I'm going to get rid of Hood and ask you for several strategies for sell-out crowds and player sigings.

Wishful thinking.
[pee on bonfire mode]The incremental net in come on your 12,000 extra bodies would be far less than the figure you state. And thats before you allow for concessions, kids...[/pee on bonfire mode]

What if we offer £100,000 for Leon instead . Mind you, no point in paying for someones wages when they are in prison.

His style reminded me of a young John Woods. I wonder whether Smith has half an eye on him as a possible SO for the future at Wire.

you wouldn't think it on the wigan board, they're the winners and the transfer was a straight swap for gleeson and mathers.
They ain't done reet in the thinky bone!

| It's a wonder Smith picked him for GB and England for the last 2 years if he was such a bad influence.
