Just watching the Sky game and Thaler has just awarded a try to Randell in what was a similar incident to the Semi 'try' from last year in the play offs.

Given that there was a fair amount of publicity regarding why the Tadulala try wasn't awarded, why was the Quins try allowed? It seems Thaler deemed it backwards due to the player looking at his own tryline. I deemed it a knock on, but why are our full time ref's still making such different decisions?

Wigan's defensive line is a shambles, and they don't seem to have anyone who can take them down the field, if they play like this next week we might even be able to notch a few tries.

I wouldn't bank on it! In any case Wigan generally tend to do well against the Bulls at the JJB.

I'm not very cofident about next Friday. We dont have a good record against Wigan at the JJB stadium and Steve Mcnamara doesn't have a good record against Brian Noble either. The only thing I can see improving next week is Wigans league position.

Huddersfield hadn't won a league game at Odsal for 40 years. There's no point getting bound by statistics, just play what's in front of you at the present time, and at this present time this Wigan line-up seems to be very unbalanced.

edit - although they have just shown more attacking flair in 20 seconds than we have for a long while for that try.

A couple of fixtures lists are showing it as on the Friday. Certainly BBC were when I looked earlier.

But I was under the impression it was on Saturday and the Bulls website says the same, so...


Anyway, regarding the try the thread was started about. I wouldn't compare it to the Tadulala one from last year (as that was a much closer call), but what I definitely will say is that it was a shocking decision. I normally preach that Thaler is the best referee in the league, but he deserves to be suspended for that video call.

Sky sports says Friday, I was sure it was a Sat though before.

The gruesome twosome on SKY quoted it as Sat on both Fri / Sat games. . . . . as does the SKY site rlhererl

It was originally the Friday night Sky game. Huddersfield asked Sky if they could swap th fixtures around so that they play Friday.

It was a shocking decision by Thaler, but Bailey try was a double movement that wasnt given. It evened itself out but its still no excuse for poor reffing
