| I shall have to update that because parking to the north of the stadium (the cricket ground side) has become a lot more complicated in recent years, its almost like the council don't really want people to park their cars in Headingley at all.

| Park on the side of the Otley Road in the bicycle lane like everyone else does and seems to be allowed to do. Very annoying and dodgy then having to weave between people parking up and opening doors without looking and traffic not giving much space because of the cars parked down both wings of it. Or maybe they are a load of Ryan Hall's in disguise..?!
Still, quite satisfying going past everyone on my bike when it is nose-to-tail

Yes, the temporary junction closures are now permanent along Headingley Mount. Doesn't affect parking as such, just restricts exit from the side streets.

I got into their little maze a while ago and couldn't find a route out, couldn't help but imagine that in an office in the Merrion Centre somewhere was a group of council officials watching the street cctv and taking bets on how long it would take me to retrace my steps.
Is it still ok to park in the maze or is it residents only now ?

I can sympathise. Apparently the idea was to stop rat running through the maze and "cutting the corner" to avoid the bottle neck on Otley Road. Our councillors do love the car, don't they? I pity anyone from out of town who tries to get from one side of the city centre to the other by following road signs which suddenly become non-existent.
I picture our civic leaders going home at night in a fleet of luxury helicopters, smirking at the chaos below.
The maze is still a free for all, the only permit area is at the top of Headingley Mount around Beckett's Park and then only until 6 pm Monday to Friday and also only between certain months which escape me at the moment. It's basically term time, I'll pay attention next time and PM you.

| my understanding to the maze is , i live locally to it and dont agree with it , is ash road residents association pushed it through with the help of liberal councillors , highways and planning had reservations about the scheme but it was voted through and is now permanent , a few years ago ash road residents association wanted a total closure of headingley mount , that wouldhave ben fun !!!!!!!!!!!!

Wow, they really wanted to do that? As you say, that would be a recipe for chaos. I got the impression that the maze was largely inhabited by students anyway. There must be enough local NIMBY's left to make a difference.
What I'd really like to know is how that green monstrosity on the cricket ground was given planning permission but we can't replace the South Stand like-for-like.
