| You'll be lucky ....
The club, it seems, aren't interested in producing a half decent retro shirt (in cotton, if possible) for the fans to buy and the nearest thing you could get to that is the '68 Replica that you say you already own.
Occasionally, there are genuine shirts from the mid-80s (with the traditional three amber bands) that appear on Ebay that people have owned and are simply getting rid of them. They've usually got the Youngers sponsorship logo somewhere on them. Given that they are highly sought after, their price is at a premium and you can pay between £40 - £60 for a decent one. It's also worth noting that folks were generally a bit smaller then, so if you're looking for something bigger than traditional XL, you'll struggle.
There was a limited edition run of White Away Shirts done independently in the last couple of years (See you season ticket renewal booklet) ... I've no idea who did them But do know they've not got any left and it is unlikely that there will be another run done in the near future.
There was another company advertising on here, but not seen their adverts for a while and it looked like their shirts were based on the traditional design, but made out of the dreaded polyester. Anyone know otherwise ?
Good luck in your quest .... You might need it !

| I think the club are missing out on a massive marketing opportunity here.
There are many folk who just don't want to buy a pink polyester shirt for £45 but if give the option of buying a a well made cotton, 'traditional' shirt for £50, I think they would.
I still see plenty of folk on a match day in their '68 shirt and I honestly believe it's because they simply don't want to buy this seasons shirt.

| I haven't bought and worn a new shirt since the '07 white one simply because I don't like them . There was another white one , and that is unworn and hung in the wardrobe .
These ones with the pink bits shouldn't (in my opinion) be given the chance for the sun to shine , or the rain to fall on them . Are we not known as the blue and amber ?
Shove the ideas of pink , brown , green , orange , and ones with a 'V' . I want a combination of blue/white/amber and hoops or my money stays in my pocket .
BTW . That most recent of offerings celebrating the GF win is the worst I have seen in a long time . Some of the recent Wakey shirts have been the better looking of all SL kits .

| I agree with Hanson - TOFFS have been doing soccer shirts for over twenty years even down to non-league clubs and lots of fans prefer them. They have even moved into the 80s and some from the 90s. Even given RLs smaller fan base there must be a market for RL shirts even the larger clubs.
Mind you we all know how RL began in 1995 - anything before that is irrelevant in this Sky TV world. Just think of all the good retro kits there could be but the game as usual doesn't promote its history.

| The club are definitely missing out here. Retro is so in. They'd sell loads of classic shirts.

| Ah, but a retro shirt never goes out of fashion and so can be worn season after season. No need to buy a new shirt every year then.
The club ain't daft.

| Not bought one since that gray/silver effort from 2006, never wore them enough to justify spending over 40 quid on them and I wasn't keen on the material they started using. Thought the 2005 home kit was the best one I've had though!
